"Take your canvas bags ..." viral videoing to change the world Email Print

There are many ways to take action to change the world's heedless path toward the precipice of Catastrophic Climate Change (and Peak Oil, Peak Water, etc ...).  We can act as individuals, families, communities, businesses, nations ...  And, we can foster action by others through our own actions ... directly and indirectly.

When it comes to the easiest first steps toward a better relationship with the environment, for the rich developed world, two easy actions have real impact and start the path toward real change:  replacing incadescents with compact fluorescent bulbs and using canvas bags.

As for the second, here is a video that is worth watching and helping go viral.

Action on Walden. Not the pond, the firey Hell. HR 4200 Email Print

The effects of logging are vastly underrated by most of the general public. They still do not connect the increasing contamination of their water with the logging of watershed.   Anybody who needs water to live should be concerned.

The Walden Logging Bill, HR 4200, is scheduled for a vote on the House floor this week. The vote is expected on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. American Lands Alliance is scheduling a national call in day on Tuesday, May 16th.  You can read about it here.

The Sun Starts Coming Out Tomorrow Email Print

Tomorrow is another step toward November 2006.  Just as the Special Election in Ohio's 2nd was a slice of hope, tomorrow will be a day that could become the origin of a tidal wave.
There are several races across the nation that will serve as indicators to the public sentiment in a way that no poll or political column can.
Think of America as the whole, not just as everywhere other than your neighborhood.  Just because there may not be an election in your particular neighborhood, what happens tomorrow in elections will impact you.
This is to ask that you do your part.  Don't ask, what can I do?  Ask, what will I do.

Don't just be a talker, be a doer.   Let's take our Country back, and let's start tomorrow.
