Effective use of our power Email Print

We won, and like the rest of you I am celebrating, but now comes the hard part.  How can the netroots and the grassroots capitalize on this victory and continue to grow the movement to take back the soul of the Democratic Party?  Electing Democrats is not the end, but simply a means to an end.   We will have won nothing if the new Democratic majority continues the normal money, career, influence peddling, and corporate friendly system that passes for government in Washington.

Dear Mr. Reed,

To quote from Abraham Lincoln, "I have never written to you in greater kindness of feeling than now, nor with a fuller purpose to sustain you."  

From the missives that keep getting launched from the DLC site and DLC operatives, I feel that you are laboring under a horrible misapprehension.  The Democratic blogs don't have a problem with moderate Democrats.  In fact, we don't even have a problem with very conservative Democrats.

It's not about positions.  It's never been about positions.
