A few days ago, I outlined the first two parts of author Russ Bellant's profile on Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate, Dick DeVos. In them we learned about DeVos' long history of involvement with key elements of the  far political and Religious Right. Bellant focuses on DeVos involvement in the Council for National Policy, a national strategy group of righist leaders; and on what the philanthropic priorities of the Dick and Betsy DeVos Foundation tell us about his ideology and what he might do as governor.

Bellant also sounds the alarm that DeVos might be planning a run for president.

Now, in the final two parts, we learn about aspects of the DeVos and the AMWAY coporate empire that you are not likely to see in a campaign press release, as well as what Bellant sees as a likely DeVos agenda as governor, based on his record.

Dick DeVos is running to be govenor of Michigan. Russ Bellant, author of The Religious Right in Michigan Politics, is very concerned. Here is why:

Dick DeVos is the richest and most right wing major party candidate for Governor in Michigan history. He is the product of the Amway company and its decades of interlinks with the most influential religious extremists. He conducts himself like an Amway recruiter, deception and all.

And Bellant believes DeVos would like to be president someday. Bellant has written what can only be called a profile in extremism, outlining DeVos' far-right religious and political involvements over many years.
