There are two kinds of cash floating around the U.S.A. today.

Hard earned cash by people who are working for a living and retired individuals who earned their cash over a lifetime of hard work.

This cash, earned through hard worked today, and cash of retired citizens who earned it by working a lifetime is not being treated fairly.  

What I am talking about is the rip-off by banks that pay for savings or certificates of deposit accounts.

Americans want the cash infusion to prop up its collapsing economy.  With 37 million of U.S. families on food stamps and millions now unemployed, it looks as if there could be a re-run of the Great Depression.  

Bank failure where huge bonuses were handed out to bank chiefs who failed us has enraged taxpayers.  Why?  

After demolishing the U.S. bank structure, the Bush administration, aided and abetted by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, former head of Goldman Sachs, and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, rushed through an emergency bailout -- the banks and credit market package.

This $700 billion bailout was sped through Congress at lightning speed.  So speedily in fact that specifications for control of how this gigantic cash infusion to insure money hungry bank titans didn't skim huge bonuses, luxury private jets, and lavish Las Vegas so-called business events.

Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson pleaded with Congress to salvage the U.S. economy with $700 billion to bail out banks and big business.  Congress rushed through this $700 billion bailout with such rapidity, it apparently didn't take time to specify restrictions on how the money was spent.

Some bailed out banks simply used this cash infusion to buy other failing banks to enlarge their economic empires.

Fear sent shudders through the depositors and stock investors at the nation's biggest bank, Washington Mutual.  $16 billion was withdrawn in 10 days by frightened depositors.  J.P. Morgan and Chase obtained this over 100-year-old bank a day or so after it was hastily closed by federal banking authorities.

Washington Mutual had granted a tremendous number of sub-prime loans.  They were giving mortgages without thorough credit checks of positive proof that the borrower had a job where payments could be met when the principal monthly payment was added to the many interest-only loans.
