Is it Ignorance, Arrogance, Stupidity or Black Humor?

An individual from Bothell, Washington writing in a letter to the editors of the Seattle Times on March 13, 2006 stated the following, "For every crisis in the world, a leader has stepped forward to answer the call." This individual then said, "George Bush has been especially equipped to answer the call with the proper tools of temperament to deal with the situation."
The writer went on to compare Bush and the current Iraq crisis to Charlemagne, Alexander the Great and Scotland's William Wallace as this person's idea of similar situations. The individual even threw in George Washington, followed by Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan for good measure.
Then a comparison was made by how long it took to bring down the Nazi empire. If this letter writer is an example of Washington's much-hailed "intelligentsia," God help us! The ignorance displayed of this letter writer's evaluation of George Bush is appalling.
