How to Combat Terrorism

For the best and most enduring protection from every form of evil terrorism, the US should take these five steps.

My response: Here we observe two related ideas: the law of the balance of power and the principle of the lesser of two evils. Thruout history, nations have tended to collect into various loose federations in order to increase their security against an aggressive nation or to balance out one another's power. Through such politics, nations strove to preserve international harmony and to correct disharmonies and divisions. The principle of the lesser of two evils holds that a state party can side with a second state party which is generating or promoting certain evils for the purpose of mutually counteracting a third state party which is generating or promoting even worse evils.

We are fast becoming a bankrupt society in so many ways.   We must realize that the international issues weigh heavily on our ability to survive - as a nation, much less considering social class issues.  This is a look at domestic and foreign issues on several levels with inestimable margin for perspective and debate.

I distinctly recall the 2004 Bush-Cheney campaign claiming that a "reelected" Bush Administration was the only thing standing between America and another 9/11. Only the Bush Crew could protect America and keep the country secure.

Unfortunately, the Bushites have been so preoccupied with the War on Iraq and the highly-selective War on Terror that they've turned a collectively-blind eye to keeping economic versions of 747-style missiles from ramming into the U.S. economy.
