A DeLay Victory? Hardly. Email Print

While right-wingers may think DeLay has won a victory by having the Democratic judge removed from his case, imagine what will happen if a Republican judge or a judge with no party affiliation convicts Tommy-boy; no amount of spin will save DeLay from such a situation.

But moving out of Travis County? Hmmmmmm.

that will be enough.  Even if it was back in 1948, when there was no GOP in Texas.

After all, Lawrence Walsh was a life-long Republican, and they still accused him of running a partisan Democratic witch hunt with Iran-Contra.

it looks like DeLay will be convicted even if the jury is made up totally of Republicans, if they are honest, that is.  I agree that having a Republican judge, if he is not bought off, is the best possible way for that jerk to be found guilty and hauled off to jail.  It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.  Thanks for thinking of this.  I agree completely with you.

He will get a second judge. But, no matter how the second judge is affiliated there is nothing to be done.

Found it interesting that DeLay's lead attorney gave both to the Repub's and Dem's.
