Are Bush and Blair Evil Political Twins?

In the Miami Herald on August 27, 2005, columnist George Will claims anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan is a negative force because of the adjectives she uses describing George Bush. George Will claims, without when or where, Cindy used the following words describing George Bush, allegedly calling him a "filth spewer", "lying bastard", "evil maniac", and "the world's biggest terrorist".
Having lost her son in the Iraq War, the question must be asked exactly how you would react if you had lost your loved one in the now proven phony reason for going to war - non-existent weapons of mass destruction.
For one moment just imagine what kind of adjectives you would use in describing George Bush, who led this nation swiftly into the Iraq War on a tissue of lies.
If you believe in the Ten Commandments, recall how the Republicans spent millions upon millions to impeach Bill Clinton because of breaking the commandment, "Thou shalt not commit adultery."
The Bush Administration has broken two commandments, "Thou shalt not kill" as well as "Thou shalt not lie" in launching a war on the basis of a series of lies and forged documents.
The crimes against humanity resulting from falsehoods hurling the U.S. into the Iraq War, should be brought before the International Court in The Hague. The Geneva Convention was established for cases exactly like this Iraq War. No doubt Cindy Sheehan is frustrated that the Bush impeachment process has not begun. No doubt she and other anti-war activists wonder why Bush and the Administration responsible for the rush into the Iraq War aren't being tried this very moment at The Hague. It is self-evident why the Bush Administration delights in thumbing its nose at the Geneva Convention and the International Court of Justice at The Hague.
They know better than anyone else on earth that they should be judged for the horrors for which they are responsible. You cannot bring freedom, peace and democracy by killing people unjustly in a war that contravenes international law as well as the U.S. Constitution.
Alexander the Great conquered the then known world. When there were no more worlds to conquer Alexander the Great wept.
Once the big lie about the U.S. being threatened by Saddam Hussein and his alleged but non-existent weapons of mass destruction, did Bush or Blair apologize for leading their nations into this blood-curdling debacle, which was worse than any horror film ever produced? There were Saddam's torture chambers put to use by U.S. service personnel. There were prison beatings and torture at Guantanamo in Cuba.
When George Bush learned of his tragic mistake, he blithely switched the reasons the U.S. went to war, from "weapons" to "terrorists", forgetting to mention that al Qaeda terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Pakistan and not Iraq.
How can you erase terrorists by launching a war on the wrong country? Could it be that the Iraq War was really conducted for "oil" and "political alliances" and not for the bogus threat from those non-existent weapons?
Republican pro-lifers are tremendously concerned over not killing fetuses. But are those same Republican pro-lifers for or against this needless Iraq War, resulting in the killing of Iraqis, U.S. and Coalition personnel almost every day? They are pro-life for fetuses and pro-death for civilians and military personnel caught in a tragic conflict that intensifies daily.
When George Bush reads poll results showing that at last the majority of Americans now think that the Iraq War was a mistake, he is willing to stop cutting those perky weeds at the Crawford Ranch and chase around to U.S. military bases. Here he calculates he will receive a warm reception.
Imagine for a moment the frustration that some thinking individuals in the military must now feel. If you were involved in the Iraq War, which the world now knows to be a "phony war", you have two difficult choices; got along with the Bush Administration's war based on a tissue of lies or resign. If you resign you might lose your retirement. If you openly express outrage over what you feel the Administration has done getting you into the quagmire, you could be possibly court-martialed.
God forbid that you should experience torture in the Saddam jail torture cells as some Iraqis have endured, or at Cuba's Gauntanamo Bay detention center, where Geneva Convention rules for the treatment of prisoners have been ignored. It might cost you plenty in retirement pay, or even respect of the gullible who go along with anything the U.S. government does.
So Bush selected the correct audience to launch his defense of the Iraq War. Do these military men ever stop to think what launching the Iraq War has cost in blood, tears and death? Sure you've heard those ghastly statistics before of over 100,000 Iraqis dead along with over 1,800 U.S. service personnel killed and 15,000 more wounded, but did you ever think that some day, somehow, somewhere you might be held accountable for this debacle? Think it over!
As for future safety - think this over! Did you imagine in your wildest patriotic fantasies that some of those who feel their loved ones were unjustly killed might vow vengeance. It has happened already in Great Britain! Some of the Muslims involved in an attempted bombing on the Underground Tube that mercifully failed admitted that the Iraq War and the killing of Arab people unjustly by England motivated them. How in the name of reason can Americans feel safer when their leader deceitfully launches such a war quagmire, with daily death depicted daily world wide on TV?
Centuries ago Christian Crusaders surrounded Jerusalem and blew their trumpets, expecting walls to collapse as they imagined occurred in Jericho centuries before. When the walls did not fall these Christian Crusaders rushed in and killed everyone inside Jerusalem.
This spectacular display has never been forgotten. I predict that the George Bush Iraq invasion will be remembered for centuries for its "shock" and "awe" war declaration against Iraq. The world was "shocked" that the U.S. would arrogantly launch this unjust war, while the world watched in "awe" at such gullibility displayed by the segment of the American public that backed Bush.
The Bush name will be synonymous for a legacy of death and debt. With the cost of the Iraq War soaring to $300 billion, with the national debt resulting in every American owing $145,000 and a staggering national debt rapidly approaching $8 trillion, the largest in the history of the planet, while Bush insists on carrying out his tax cuts for the wealthy, making the national burden truly staggering is a sad and pathetic legacy. It is the legacy of the regime of Bush and Cheney, the worst in the nation's history.
When Bush does anything he is always in a rush, rush to war, rush to declare victory, all apparently without thinking through what he is doing. Remember when Bush donned a flight suit and arrived by helicopter on a waiting Naval ship and, with cameras appropriately rolling in a Karl Rove-orchestrated production, proudly declared "Mission Accomplished"?
The mission of the American people will not be accomplished until Bush, Cheney and other responsible cronies are impeached and then tried at The Hague for defying international law. That will be a tougher time than having coffee with Cindy Sheehan, who wanted to simply ask, after losing her beloved son, "George, why did you rush into the Iraq War? Tell us the truth!"
No apologies have emanated from either the White House or 10 Downing Street. Instead Bush arrogantly declares he has been "born again" and is taking counsel from his "other father" in heaven. "God bless everyone," Tiny Tim said at Christmas dinner in Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol".
We can now paraphrase Tiny Tim's words and say, "God help us everyone" as well as "God save us everyone". Save us from more Bush Republican nightmares, whether it is war, ignoring greenhouse gases, which scientists warned repeatedly could bring hurricanes. It happened in New Orleans last week. Will you ever listen to reason, Bush? Also save us from cutting off Medicaid for the poor and chasing around the nation or the world telling repeated lies and sowing seeds of despair and discontent.
Yes, Bush and Blair are indeed evil political twins!
