Anti-Bush Campaign Growing Email Print

While U.S. service personnel are fighting and dying in Iraq, just as they did in Vietnam.  Anti-war activists seek to confront White House resident George Bush to ask a simple question, "Why did the United States go to war in Iraq, and why are they still there?"

Of course, that is the burning question that also should be asked in the most appropriate place, in The Hague before a panel of judges who can determine if the Iraqis and U.S. service personnel who died, and the thousands wounded, met their tragic fate because of a fraudulent war.  Did this debacle take place because U.S. intelligence made the tragic mistake of not wanting to share information that might have prevented 9/11, and even the rush to the Iraq War?

These are legitimate questions that must be answered by an unbiased international court in The Hague, where the Geneva Convention war guidelines if followed can prevent corrupt politicians or barbaric madmen from going to war without any legitimate reason.

Remember how Republicans and Democrats were so confident when the bombs began falling over Iraq?  This administration and its robotic Democratic followers triumphantly proclaimed they were out to save the world, spreading democracy first over the Middle East with ceaseless bombings, destruction and death.  The lies spewed out by the one-sided media contributed to this nightmare scenario.

Both the Republicans and Democrats who voted to go ahead with the Iraq War, based on lies and forged documents desecrated the lofty principles this nation was founded upon as they launched their deceitful search for non-existent weapons of mass destruction.  Arrogance and ignorance along with misplaced aggression triggered this absurd action.

Instead of going after the perpetrators of 9/11, and investigating why information was kept silent about suspects who proved to be the very ones who piloted their planes into the world Trace Center, instead Iraq was targeted for invasion.  Could its oil riches have had anything to do with the decision?  Could lucrative opportunities for multinationals such as Dick Cheney's Halliburton and Bechtel been elements of the invasion calculation?

Now investigation reveals that intelligence agencies knew exactly who the pilots were who smashed their planes into the World Trade Center, but the egos of the sinister plots of the F.B.I. and C.I.A. and other intelligence agencies got in the way of protecting American lives.  Certainly, a price must be paid for this unforgivable conduct.

Could it be that the Bush Administration wanted all intelligence twisted to satisfy its hunger for war?  Amazingly, none of those computer warriors who engineered this Iraq War debacle have ever served in any war.  That was always left for others.   When it is pointed out that Rumsfeld and other prominent Republicans supplied the wherewithal to Saddam Hussein to continue his killing frenzy amid his continuing use of torture chambers for any opposition to his fiendish agenda, apologists say, "Well, Iran was our enemy then!"

Can anyone explain when Iran threatened the U.S.?  Could it be the real threat resides in the White House?  When it was known that the stated reason for going to war against Iraq was phony, why did voters who proclaim to be devoutly religious and proclaim themselves to be pursuing virtue vote for more of the same?

The Republican Administration, aided and abetted by robotic Democrats, have a whole lot for which to answer!  Recently, it was announced from Baghdad, they were planning on an Islamic religiously controlled nation.  They are joining forces with Iran.  Having seen the U.S. target, kill and destroy much of Iraq, other nations such as Iran have lost faith in the United States and fear for their safety.

The so-called pre-emptive war doctrine of the Bush Administration, which is actually that of preventive war, has generated a nuclear domino effect, with the majority of the nations of the world recognizing that the U.S. and its much heralded "greatest nation in the world" boast, struck nuclear fear and horror into their hearts, recognizing what a nation vested with such powerful weapons, if not controlled by intelligent and humane leaders, might wreak havoc and death.  With the Iraq War costing around $300 billion and the national debt climbing ever closer to the $8 trillion mark, how can anyone have confidence in a future being led by such a totally discredited Administration?

Sneaking John Bolton into the UN as U.S. Ambassador when facts reveal he was the one who was twisting facts to help ignite the Iraq War occurred, as Bush knew that he didn't have the votes for this absurd appointment, is the White House resident's current evil ploy.  Acting in his usual arrogant, ignorant manner, he sneaked Bolton through during the Congressional Recess.

The tainted icons of the right, sex harasser Bill O'Reilly, who promptly paid for the young woman suing him to spare revelation of his personal life, Rush Limbaugh, the ex-drug addict (we hope) who hired powerful Miami criminal lawyer Roy Black to keep the lid on the extent of his illegal drug buying, who has poisoned the minds of his faithful "ditto heads," serve as classic examples of Bush's brigade pursuing "righteousness" on behalf of America.

Meanwhile, as the military spending spree continues, Medicare doctor's fees have been slashed.  The result is that 333,000 needy Medicaid recipients have had their benefits terminated.  Meanwhile the rich received tax breaks so country club memberships can be purchased and renewed and new luxury yachts can be bought. The Administration's priorities show where Cheney and Bush are coming from.  Is it this Administration's goal to destroy Medicare?  With so many doctors refusing to take Medicare patients, it would appear that way.

In a civilized society, the only defense for killing is self-defense.  The same applies to international killing in war.  That is why the Geneva Convention war rules were created, to stop barbarians from carrying out mass murder.  What in the name of God are people who have any sense of decency, any recognition of ethics, thinking of?

The evidence was in ample supply to impeach Cheney, Bush and other culpable cronies within this deceitful Administration.  Didn't the tragedies of the first term, with death, debt and endless campaigns of lies and spin control through a supplicant corporate media led by the likes of Faux (Fox) News register in the American conscience?

Is there a certain segment of the American public that is brain dead?  To impeach or not to impeach, that is the burning question!
