US Fights Back Against International Bullies Email Print

That's right, the United States has struck another blow against the forces that seek to defame us and demean us on the world stage.  No, no, this time it's not Bush.  It's Canada.

The US Ambassador to Canada today asked Canada to stop picking on us.
"It may be smart election politics to thump your chest and constantly criticize your friend and your No. 1 trading partner. But it's a slippery slope and all of us should hope it doesn't have a long-term impact on our relationship."

Yes, stop saying bad things about us, Canada.  No fair piling on.

Yeah, well opinion polls show most Americans dislike  Bush too, so there, you Canadian copycats.

"Just think about this. What if one of our best friends criticized you directly and incorrectly almost relentlessly? What if that friend's agenda was to highlight your perceived flaws while avoiding mentioning your successes? What if that friend demanded respect but offered little in return?" Wilkins asked.

Stand by the hankies, I think he's going to cry.
