We also know from the NSA agent who quit because of legal and ethical issues with the program, that the eavesdropping is accomplished using a keyword computer program. So "jihad" will cause a 'hit' and send the tape for review. Anyone fluent in Farsi will trigger 'hits' with weapon type words.

What does this have to do with the average mom and pop conversations around town? Load them up with 'fatwahs' and 'jihads' and a few Bin Ladens. Skip the ebonics and get Arabonic for a while. Get a Farsi dictionary and talk about gardening tips, but don't forget the fertilizer (they use it to make explosives). Use all of these terms in random conversations, like "Bin Laden is dead, the CIA won't send the Al Qaida tapes tapes to Geneva to get voice recognition. This is not Osama's jihad."

If there IS domestic surveillance and a high volume of citizens create hits, it will overwhelm the system, rendering it useless. It may be useless as we speak. One thing that has been consistent with these NeoCons is that they do not fund substructures. As a result, the FBI is (and was before 9/11) backed up with piles of translations due to manpower and equipment shortages. Homeland Security is basically what was evidenced for Katrina.
