Mr. Gore, Consider Me Disenthralled

However, I also wanted to write about another reason why I wish to learn this slideshow and will continue to spread this message even if I am not that lucky. That is because I am disenthralled, and it is so freeing and wonderful that I wish to share that with others, and tell them how they too can become disenthralled to the point where they will see the truth and find the transcendence that Mr. Gore speaks of that will allow them to take the leap into a better future.
What do I mean by disenthralled? Do I deprive myself of the pleasures of life? No. I still live, love, work, and enjoy life as much as possible. However, I am not a slave to the media, to fads, nor to any ideologies that enslave the mind and rule the heart. I chose to allow life to lift me up, and get my pleasure from the love of my family, my spiritualism, being in nature, and the satisfaction that what I am doing in my own life by living it in moderation and in always looking to move forward to better this world for my child and generations to come will hopefully be the result of my actions.
Of course, this isn't easy to do if you have lived your life being kept from nature or sitting your whole life in front of a TV being bombarded by sound bites that tell you how to live, which unfortunately is how many Americans do live their lives. So for me, to be disenthralled is to be in natural surroundings away from all of the distractions that would keep me from seeing the true beauty of this world that we are destroying by our own hand. Believe me, when you are up close to the majesty of this Earth it fills you up and you cannot escape its hold on your soul, and you don't want to. That is the point at which you feel that transcendence. When your soul takes that leap and you breathe it in and finally see what is truly at stake by allowing it to be destroyed for selfish reasons.
Therefore, simply put, if you wish to disenthrall yourself, turn off your TV. Take a walk and go to a place where you can truly reflect and allow your mind and soul to be intoxicated by the beauty of the world that sustains you. And while you are reflecting, think about what this world will be like in twenty, thirty, or even ten years should we continue on our present course. Then take a look into the eyes of your child or someone you love, and tell me you aren't then disenthralled.
Mr. Gore in all of his talks about this issue has stated that we have what it takes to solve this crisis save for political will which as we have seen is absolutely on target. I also see that as we have everything we need to solve this crisis save human will. And in my view the reason why that human will is lacking on the part of many is because we have chosen to make our lives so complicated that we have fallen out of touch with what is truly important. Stopping and smelling the roses is not just a cliché', it now may very well be what saves us.
And it must be what saves us, for we are having an impact on the Earth we live in unlike any we have had before. We are changing the relationship we have with this planet, and by doing so, we are leaving an uncertain and dangerous future for our children. But we still have a chance to make that right if we but only see the kind of world we can make vs. what we are making if we have a change of heart and find the will to live in harmony with her while not sacrificing progress. And that can be done.
All you need to do is take that leap.

I think this is definitely worth it.
