Political Cortex: Brain Food for the Body Politic

Here is part of an email conversation between Ron & myself. I will let Ron remain anonymous. I have done some grammatical editing here, but the gist of it is retained.

Ron: I have little good to say about Bush EXCEPT he kept Kerry and Gore out of office.  That is enough to rate him high in the list of presidents.  In fact, few presidents have that little going for their term in office!

Are you trying to get my goat, Ron? Or do you really despise two of my five favorite Democrats in recent history? Robrous.

Fraid so!  Bush got my vote those two times ONLY because of his competition.  I'd throw him out on his rear, if I could. BUT, I would vote for him again, as well as just about any person you could conceive of running, including Kerry or Gore, (well maybe not Kerry!) if it would keep the Clinton woman out of office!  I believe she is the most dishonest and least qualified as any potential candidate we have ever experienced.

Hillary isn't a good choice, Ron, and I don't think this conservative country is ready for ANY female commander-in-chief.  But Gore is a marvelous man who deserves to be our next prez. The world needs him badly. Robrous.

The environmental aspect to Gore is just showing he has common sense, fortitude, hope, and that he is a proactive person. There is much more to the man than that, including moral decency. For instance, when he was disgusted by Billy Boy's sex scandal, and damaged by it in the 2000 election. He also can communicate very lucidly with moderation, and is highly intelligent. So what if he's STIFF, shouldn't a president be? I think Bush is a little too footloose & fancy-free. Robrous.
