There is a museum downtown, in New York City, which preserves a board game produced in Germany during the time when that nation was under the sway of nazism. In this game, Jews are rounded up, and neighborhoods cleared of Jews. Looking at this children's game, leaves one feeling empty and cold. I had the same feeling reading about this a game, about to go on the market this Twelfth month, some call December, to be given as a present on the day some call "Christmas."
My friend Jon Hutson, wrote to tell me that Wal Mart is about to sell a game, " Left Behind: Eternal Forces" In this game, the object is to kill those who have not converted to Christianity, while the on screen characters shout "Praise the Lord..."
This is not my America and I don't think it's yours either. Are YOU going to be the one to let that stand IF true?
We will ALL then be Muslims and Jews and Buddhists and Taoists and ALL denominations with but the one condition that individuals be judged not by labels, but by expansiveness of spirit, and gracefulness of heart. Even all and every Christian of good faith will hang his or her head in shame should such ever come to pass. So, let such never come to pass because never can come if we stand together in firmness of resolve and courage of conviction to proclaim "Never again. Not on MY Watch."
Mr.. President. Tear down this wall of intolerance and bigotry... PLEASE... You are our leader and you can help us dismantle walls built of such admixture of mistrust and suspicion that I fear this true. Mr. Sam Walmart, a good man to my knowledge, and a proud AMERICAN, would be positively rolling in his grave at the very notion of such Christian heresy, and I believe he would react forcefully and without hesitation to quell the very whisper of such potential disgracing of this great nation I know he loved.
Or at least I HOPE he would, because Lorcan Ortway is a good man and he doesn't lie and he will be the first to apologize should he be in error. That much I KNOW.
