Al Gore Is Our Person Of The Year

After thirty years of perseverance, commitment, and passion, his message is finally reaching the people it must reach in order for us to now begin the work needed to sustain our planet and our future, while also fulfilling his own personal visionary quest. And he is now sharing that fulfillment with all of us and telling us through his work as a private citizen that we all have that power within us to make changes, and that indeed for all of us to use that power would certainly move mountains. He is without a doubt the leader of a grassroots movement finally taking root, and hopefully uniting our world in a common cause: The cause of taking care of our planet, and each other. There is then no other person we could entertain recognizing this year as our Person of the Year other than the Honorable Al Gore.
Mr. Gore, you are a man among men... An environmental advocate... A statesman... A leader... And you will always be our Environmental Ambassador and our president. But above all, you are a man who cares about the moral direction we all must take now in order to preserve this precious blue dot for our children. There is no more important or worthy cause and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your relentless commitment in always seeing a better day through the ingenuity and power of the people.
Therefore, in order to recognize our thanks to you for your unyielding passion in getting out the truth about what we are now doing to our world and the hope that working together we can mitigate it, we will make a donation to the Alliance for Climate Protection in support of the goals of speaking truth and seeking solutions, and in the coming year we will continue to work with you on this crisis in any way we can in the hope that we will solve this crisis in time. Again, thank you.

And as an aside to this announcement, I wish to state that we as a whole in this country have much work to do in the coming year. We all have the capacity in our own way to make great accomplishments regarding the preservation of our planet. Al Gore is the man who has brought this realization and truth into the forefront of the nation's consciousness, but it is now up to us to take this truth and pass it on to light the way for others to see it and to take action.
Our world is in need of our aid now. Our planet calls to us, and we cannot and must not let the diversions of this modern age drown out those calls. We must use them to our advantage. I believe we have yet to unlock so many mysteries regarding our relationship to our Earth, and it is in unlocking those mysteries that we will become even closer to the solutions we need in business, government, and religion to adequately address this moral dilemma.
We most surely have come into a period of consequences, but they are consequences that can be limited by direct participation not only in demanding political action regarding this moral crisis, but in becoming the catalyst for change in our own lives. Remember, your children will carry on the future and inherit the world we leave them. Teach them well.
In closing this I also wanted to say thank you to those who responded to my writings here this year. It is encouraging to know that so many others share a love for this planet that goes beyond even the physical. I believe Mr. Gore also has a love for this Earth on all levels including the spiritual, and it is in reaching that higher consciousness that we will hopefully one day be able to make amends for what we have done and are doing to her.
In whatever way you observe these last days of the year, may you have peace.
