Are You a Dominionist? Take the Test! Email Print

Are you a domionionist?  I'll skip over formal definitions, but suffice to say that it's a general category of people who are theocrats -- or people who may be headed in that direction.

Given the way things are going, it's probably good to check ourselves every once in awhile -- just as a precaution. We did this early in the life of this site, and I think it is time to do it again.

Fortunately, there is a free online test.

If you are not a dominionist -- you might be surprised to find out what you really are -- at least according the folks at Worldview Weekend. Scroll down to the bottom of the page  to find the test.

"After you've taken the test, you will get an instant score. Your worldview will be tested in the area of law, economics, civil government, religion, social issues, sociology (family issues) education and science. Your worldview will be rated for these eight areas as either: Strong Biblical Worldview Thinker, Moderate Biblical Worldview Thinker, Secular Humanist Worldview Thinker, Socialist Worldview Thinker or Communist/Marxist/Socialist /Secular Humanist Worldview Thinker. You will also receive an overall worldview score and rating..... For those of you scoring the highest score possible, Biblical Theism, you will be REWARDED with a beautiful, professional looking certificate. This certificate will certify that you took the test and scored as a Strong Biblical Worldview Thinker. You can print out your certificate at the end of the test, but it will also be emailed to you so you may save it or print it out on beautiful parchment paper. This certificate would look great on your wall and would also be very rewarding for students who take this test.

Worldview Weekend is an itinerant seminar -- roving the country indoctrinating people into what they call a "Biblical Worldview."

One of the regular faculty is David Barton, a propagandist for the notion that America was founded as a Christian nation -- that must be restored. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Texas Republican Party.  Barton is so popular that Worldview Weekend has a special section of their online bookstore devoted to Barton, who is scheduled to speak at all four upcoming Worldview Weekends.

March 3rd and 4th  Conway, Arkansas

March 24 and 25  Jamestown, North Dakota

April 21st and 22nd  Cedar Rapids, Iowa

April 28, 29 & 30  Branson, Missouri

Taking the test offers a lot of insight into how different a world view can be.

Take the test! (scroll down to the bottom of the page.)

I scored 2 points out of 170. That's about what I expected. I wonder if I'm on a list, now. hee.

"Commie Pinko Pig?"

From reading the intro -- and noticing that they REWARD people for unadulterated crackpottery, I would expect something more derogatory than simply 'socialist'.

By the way. do you know where the 2 points came from? Heh!

Okay, I'll shut up now and take the test myself.

be back in a tic.

I tries SO hard to get a perfect score so I could show everyone my purdy new certificate.

Unfortunately, even though I grew up as red as the wingnut who created this 'test', I was only able to crank out a 146 out of 170 -- a "Strong Biblical Worldview Thinker"

Hmmm. I think I was robbed. Oh well, 85th percentile isn't terrible -- though it is only a "B" by most school's standards.

Sorry. I thought I could do better when faced with blatent, warped, right-wing, propaganda.

Guess not.

Rest assured that if God notices this vile piece of trash, he will most certainly crash their servers. What an insult to God and Jesus Christ!

that should read "I tried so hard..."

Boy, even visiting one of these winger sites makes me ill-lit-errrr-it. duh!

Expect to find more errors as we proceed.

That's what it/I was, and the last time I checked my political meter, still am.

I can't get above "secular humanist" even though in every case I answered that I believed in God, that God created the universe, that Jesus was the son of God, etc.

What seems to count against me most is that I don't believe the Bible says it's okay to kill people and make as much money as you want.

Apparently, a high degree of greed and violence is needed for a "Strong Biblical Worldview."

"Apparently, a high degree of greed and violence is needed for a "Strong Biblical Worldview."

You didn't know that?

I think my 2 points came from answering questions exactly as phrased. For example, I strongly disagreed that the Bible says money is the root of all evil - it actually says the love of money is the root of all evil. Also, I allow for civil disobedience, though I'm sure they're talking about abortion protests, and I'm not.

I got "Strong Biblical Worldview Thinker" and you didn't. I think the difference is that, although I agree with you that the bible doesn't say it's okay to kill people and make as much money as you want, I do think that the satanic crackpot who created and scores that test DOES think that -- or at least WANTS people to think that.
