Is it Ignorance, Arrogance, Stupidity or Black Humor? Email Print

An individual from Bothell, Washington writing in a letter to the editors of the Seattle Times on March 13, 2006 stated the following, "For every crisis in the world, a leader has stepped forward to answer the call."  This individual then said, "George Bush has been especially equipped to answer the call with the proper tools of temperament to deal with the situation."

The writer went on to compare Bush and the current Iraq crisis to Charlemagne, Alexander the Great and Scotland's William Wallace as this person's idea of similar situations.  The individual even threw in George Washington, followed by Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan for good measure.

Then a comparison was made by how long it took to bring down the Nazi empire.  If this letter writer is an example of Washington's much-hailed "intelligentsia," God help us!  The ignorance displayed of this letter writer's evaluation of George Bush is appalling.

This individual's lack of knowledge of historical fact, combined with playing God and attributing all these positive attributes to George Bush is disgusting, particularly comparing alongside some of history's truly great leaders is disgusting.

To print such a letter is puzzling.  This viewpoint outdid David Letterman and Jay Leno's highly paid teams of writers searching for jokes regarding the grim happenings occurring today.

A Pandora's Box was opened in the Middle East.  Warmongers launched the Iraq War on the basis of lies and forged documents.  God save us from the likes of such ignorance combined with amazing arrogance as displayed by the letter writer.

It has been said, "Only a fumbling fool or a possessed idiot would open a Pandora's War Box in the Middle East."

For the love of all that is good in the world, flush whatever you're smoking down the toilet. You're driving the rest of us who aren't smoking insane.

I got an e-mail the other day from some group I have never heard of and one snippet in the mail said:

Bush's legacy according to one close observer: "If Iraq succeeds, he's going to go down as a world historical figure. I mean, it's going to change the face of the planet, and he'll deserve all the credit in the world."

It's going badly - I think he deserves the credit for that, for sure.

I just figured these folks (mushrooms) have been buried on the inside somewhere for so long with some frenzied spin machine group trying to keep up the glass ball juggling of all the lies that they have no idea at all what the truth really is.

Can't be what they are smoking - they wouldn't be allowed.  It's got to be what they are feeding them.  With any luck, they aren't allowed to breed.

Hindsight is not necessarily indicative of progress.

....just part of the 30% that Bush will never lose because:

  • they get their news from Rush
  • they are born followers
  • genetics
  • are wingnut "Christians"

care to add to the list?
