Profiting on the Iraq War

Finally, the law stepped in, and many states have enacted legislation preventing these hardened criminals from profiting on their horror stores.
But tragically, some of the all-star cast in generating war in Iraq is cashing in big time on a fraudulent conflict erected on a tissue of lies. If their participation in this ghastly venture was treated as a criminal conspiracy to destroy business, they might be tried and sent to jail pronto.
But the war game, where so many people profit and make tainted millions, is another story. Over the dead bodies of nearly 2,500 American service personnel and around 15,000 wounded along with over 100,000 Iraqis dead, these author vultures can profit along with their publishers. War contributors are not stopped from selling their contribution to the deadly mistaken war, but are amply rewarded.
If his judgment is as sound as it was in the Iraq War, the World Bank could be in big trouble. $300,000 wasn't enough cash for this failed pentagon adviser. They paid Wolfowitz's country club dues and provided him also with a mortgage allowance.
Remember General Tommy Franks? Tommy is collecting a cool $5 million for his memoirs. Tommy also serves on the board of the Outback Steak Houses, so he will be well fed.
Camden Country, New Jersey authorities paid Franks $75,000 for one speech. What exactly can he tell anybody about anything after the Iraq War debacle, except not to go into a war without proof that you are being threatened by real weapons and not fantasies spun by fraud.
Paul Bremmer gets as much as $40,000 per speech. He also received a $100,000 advance for his book. Wow! Are these successful war profiteers to be compared with the executive ranks of Halliburton and Bechtel?
A private in the U.S. Army gets $3,104.00 per month. A captain receives $3,637.00 a month. A one star general makes $12,809. Each category includes an extra $625 a month for combat pay.
