The Road to Hell is Paved with Republicans' Alleged Good Intention!

There is nothing any world leader can do that is worse than to wage a war minus clear and convincing proof that the nation he represents is under immediate attack.
That is precisely what George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld, did, using the infamous forged document that Colin Powell read in lambasting Iraq at the UN to scare everyone into the Iraq War.
Remember when Republicans and Democrats made such a sick spectacle of themselves, carrying on as if they were saving the entire world by launching the war against Iraq?
Once the truth was out, the U.S. was never once threatened by Iraq, and there were no weapons of mass destruction. Yet these dreadful leaders did all this in the name of delivering freedom and democracy to the Middle East. Political rats now emerged out of the woodwork to reveal what dangerous individuals they were all along.
Instead of acknowledging the hideous mistake of waging this unforgivable war, they whizzed around the world on special missions - Bush using Air Force One like his personal traveling hotel. But he was fully aware that in some nations he visited, the landing lights of Air Force One should be turned off for safety reasons.
Condoleezza Rice carried on in all of her overseas missions, not generating any real respect for the U.S., but always acting as though she was some powerful presence representing the U.S. as some beacon of hope.
Donald Rumsfeld, when asked to resign by generals who saw through the charade of the Rumsfeld performance, was mortified. He continued acting as if he was doing a wonderful job. It had become evident that he was doing a horrendous job.
Nevertheless, that didn't stop Rumsfeld from racing over to Iraq in an unannounced so-called goodwill mission, thinking their very presence would help ease the nightmare they had generated.
When the weapons of mass destruction were never found, Bush went into his magic act. "We're fighting terrorists!" he declared, switching gears as if he had done no wrong in placing the United States in a highly vulnerable position by fanatics who might try to commit dangerous acts of revenge.
Remember, just one of those Iraqis might cause the U.S. enormous trouble, carrying some dreadful weapon in a suitcase. Remember that crazy religious fanatic who flew to the U.S. with an explosive device in his shoe? Thank God they stopped him in time.
When you launch a war, killing thousands of people, can anyone really think there will never be a price to be paid? God willing we can find leadership in the U.S. that can undo the damage this frightful Republican Administration is guilty of.
How eager these Republican moral guardians were to impeach Bill Clinton for some adulterous acts. Was Clinton's adultery worse than the deaths George Bush has achieved in his horrifying Administration?
The U.S. national debt alone is enough to make any fair-minded U.S. citizen recoil, with billions being spent to generate enemies worldwide. Some insist that the much-coveted oil in Iraq is the real reason the U.S. invaded that nation in the first place. Is this view really foolish dreaming, as the pundits at Fox News would like us to believe?
After observing what Great Britain and the U.S. have done in the Middle East, it is possible that the Arabs have determined that both Britain and the U.S. will never dominate their assets anymore. Remember when Gerald Ford, another Republican president, said that we would do whatever it took to make certain the oil keeps flowing to America? It didn't happen then, but could this be exactly what is happening now?
Iraq says that Iran has a right to nukes. This stance is contrary to the U.S. position.
It would be a comic opera if it weren't all so terribly tragic. The U.S. might be primarily responsible for Iran's determination to develop its own nuclear power. Why? The most powerful human instinct is survival. Survival is the one word. If any nation bombed Mexico on false charges, claiming it was a preventive war, the U.S. would hastily scramble to arm itself to the teeth.
Iran has seen what the U.S. has done in Iraq. Iran has seen those estimated 100,000 Iraqis killed, and with no apologies from George Bush or his abysmal Republican cohorts. Their claim of bringing peace and freedom to the entire Middle East is a pathetic joke.
Joseph Lieberman claims to be a Democrat. But he is an example of double speak. He backs buddy Bush all the way. As for the horrifying events that happened in Guantanamo Bay, where the U.S. kept suspected terrorists for years without any legal representation or apologies when mistakes were made, Lieberman revealed his true identity. Lieberman asked, "Did anyone apologize for 9/11?"
How dare this so-called American leader equate the U.S. conduct with prisoners (of any stripe) with the 9/11terror strike? Hasn't Lieberman read anything about the U.S. Constitution? Is his mind limited narrowly to "revenge"? After all, Lieberman claims to read the alleged Holy Scriptures, where is states, "Revenge is mine sayeth the Lord."
Now we hear about those Marines killing helpless civilians, some children, even women kneeling in prayer. Lieberman's voice is strangely silent now. Hopefully that does not find approval in his viewpoint.
Now the U.S. is saying, "That was against the Geneva Accords, the international rules of warfare."
When some Marines do such a dastardly deed as killing in a rage during a war, when their buddies were killed, of course it is completely against the Geneva Convention's rules of warfare.
When George Bush rushed to war while Republicans and Democrats cheered lustily was a day that will live in infamy. Bush should have the Geneva Convention war rules applied to him in a trial at The Hague.
