Veterans need help Now, Contact Congress

Senator Jay Rockefeller conducted the Rockefeller Commission of 1994 that delved into all of the programs, nuclear, radiation, chemical and biological. It is now 2006 and the federal government refuses to find these veterans who were harmed in these experiments why? Why hasn't our Congress, our elected officials ever forced them to deal with a six decades long problem?
To the Committee and all Senators and Congressmen/ladies
We Cold War veterans and some of the WW2 era test veterans have been waiting for our government, the one led by you, to find us, some of us as long as since 1975 when these programs became public.
Some of these men were actually physcially harmed in 1941 and this continued thru 1975.There have been numerous promises to find us, in 1993 the VA, DOD and Congress in open hearings and interviews promised the public, they would find these veterans and get them and thier families help.
At the time then Sec of Defense Dick Cheney, then acting Secretary of the VA Anthony Principi and Congress are all on record as stating that this had gone on for too long and that it was time for the American government to do something for these veterans.
This was published by the Detroit Free Press in 2004 by David Zeman it shows the timeline http://www.cwwg.org/... and this explains some of the tests story by Tom Segel in Dec 2005 http://www.americandaily.co m/... .
As one of the veterans used in the experiments at Edgewood Arsenal, I am shocked that after learning in March 2003 from the release of the IOM Sarin report based on the Cold War experiments on the 7120 men from 1952 thru 1975, that 40% were dead 2098 men and of the 4022 survivors that 54% were disabled, that DOD has taken the position NOT to find the men or their widows. WHY? a 74.43% death and disability rate demands action, think about it compared to PTSD everyone is fighting about if the number of veterans from the new wars will have mental problems at either the 15% rate or the 30% rate, here are a group of veterans who have a 75% medical problem rate and they are being totally ignored. again WHY?
I am openly calling for every American, Democrat or Republican or independent to call or write their elected officials and demand action now, 31 years of DOD abuse is to long, haven't these veterans and their families suffered enough
There were 7120 veterans used at Edgewood Arsenal in chemical weapons and drug tests, there were 2300 men used at Fort Detrick in biological weapons tests, another 4000 men used in the WW2 era tests at Edgewood and 40-60,000 used in nuclear tests in the pacific test area and at the Nevada test site, then there was the 4-6,000 men of Project SHAD/112. I am sure there are other experimental programs that I have missed, these are just the most extreme ones that I know about.
For more information about the Edgewood tests and experiments please read here http://outsidethebeltway.or g/... please feel free to enter the forum area and join the group discussions there it is for veterans and all that support veterans
Congress, is it time yet? America please let them hear you loud and clear.....thank you
