Bush: "These boys and girls are not spare parts" Email Print

"The president is not going to get on the slippery slope of taking something living and making it dead for the purposes of scientific research," explained White House spokesman Tony Snow.

Sadly, Bush is more concerned about "something" living instead of someone.

Apparently 'murder' isn't a sufficiently toxic frame for Bush's stem-cell propaganda. Now the president is Luntzing toward Hell with a whole new, but equally reprehensible, frame -- 'BODY PARTS'!

Hiding in the deep recesses of the White House, the cowardly Bush extracted his head from Cheney's ass just long enough to veto the stem-cell research bill, a move that desperately panders to social fundamentalists while potentially co-opting the lives and health of millions of real people. You know, the ones that are actually alive -- known and ignored by 'social conservatives' as the 'post-born'.

That's right, Bush sucked up to that critical 1/5th of the American population too damn ignorant to tie their shoes, but knowledgeable enough to manipulate the presidency.

But no worries, because Bush was "Surrounded by enthusiastic supporters [as] he wielded his veto pen for the first time," according to ABC World News Tonight. The White House "has gone so far as to say that using embryos for stem cell research is murder. And to make that point, among the guests today were children whose parents adopted them as embryos." President Bush: "These boys and girls are not spare parts."

Got that! NOT SPARE PARTS! So get your kiddie-parts-harvesting hands off em!

Well damn! There goes another business idea:(

But wait... it seems my high-flying money-maker was already thwarted by the stem-cell bill Bush rejected. It's true:

"...the ethical parameters created by this legislation are numerous and strict:

  • The embryos must be left over after fertility treatment.

  • It must be clear that the embryos will be discarded.

  • The people donating the embryos must provide written consent.

  • These donors may not be compensated for their donation.

These restrictions mean that more than 400,000 embryos could become available, all while ensuring that researchers meet the highest of ethical standards.

Let us be clear: We are talking about embryos that will be destroyed, whether or not this bill becomes law. It is an indisputable fact these embryos have no future.

I can think of nothing more ethical than using embryos that would otherwise be wasted, to generate new, viable stem-cell lines offering medical hope and promise to so many.

Got that Bush? You miserable bastard! NO FUTURE!

There is no 'murder'.

There are no 'body parts'.

There is no ethical lapse in supporting stem-cell research.

There is only a heartless man, fronting a soulless agenda using words of mass destruction.

I know you'll stoop to no low higher than the lowest low demonically possible if it means politicizing an issue for personal gain, but this is truly breathtaking.

Even so, you would think one of our government's many checks and balances would somehow counter this inhuman idiocy. Not so.

The House of Representatives (Including four pathetic Democrats) has done its part to screw humanity by failing to override Bush's veto. No worries though, not all those who voted to support the veto were standing for some hyper-delusional, self-manufactured 'moral' belief. Many Republicans simply hobbled the potentially life-giving research because they don't think that such things should be funded by government money.

Dear God! Can you blame them? We need that money to kill Iraqi citizens and ease the yacht payments of Halliburton executives. After that -- well, not so much is left for this willy-nilly, silly little health-related minutia.

Support Stem Cell Research! Vote Republicans out of office in 2006 and beyond. Your life may depend on it!
