Rep. Peter King (NY-03) is an ASSHOLE! (Episode 1) 
1. I am somewhat local, as I live in Manhattan and Peter King is in Long Island.
- While King's Long Island District has been a slam-dunk Republican seat for over a decade, the area is trending blue.
- Charlie Cook just took the race out of the "solid Republican" column, the first time in my memory I can remember that race being remotely competitive.
- The challenger, Dave Mejias, has wowed people with his solid campaigning and fundraising, and just picked up the AFL-CIO endorsement, which King has inexplicably received in the past.
- And lastly, and most importantly, Peter King is a TOTAL ASSHOLE!
So, as a result, I'm local blogging this race, and, from today until election day, I will document Peter King's total assholeness. Here is episode one:
However, when it came time for him to serve in a war, the record suggests that he wasn't exactly an eager beaver.
From 1968-1974, Peter King served in the National Guard. While today, National Guardsmen are courageously fighting in Iraq, back in the late 60's and early 70's, the National Guard was a rich kid's country club (as we know from our current misleader in chief).
So, the evidence suggestts that representative Peter King is a CHICKEN-HAWK (would appreciate confirmation -- can anyone confirm that King never fought in Viet Nam?)!
But even if he's not a Chicken Hawk, he's definitely an ASSHOLE.
By the way, since I will be blogging about Peter King, I need to disclose a conflict of interest. Privately, in my "real life," I think Peter King is an ASSHOLE!!!!
