The Democrats ignored the voters' wishes and backed Bush's agenda by not seeking to impose a deadline for an Iraq pullout.  Retired Lieutenant General Richard Sanchez on October 13 in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer was quoted as stating, "The Iraq War plans were catastrophically flawed."

Sanchez's courageous critique of the U.S. Government's role in the Iraq War continued in that same article:

"The armed forces' mission to invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam Hussein was flawed from the start.  There is no question that America is living a nightmare with no end in sight."

What's the Iraq War all about?  It isn't primarily about delivering democracy and freedom.  Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan asserts in his book "Turbulent Times" that the Iraq War is all about oil.

At last someone of Greenspan's stature has told it like it is!  It's all about oil, stupid!

As the U.S. occupation of Iraq rages on, with U.S. taxpayers funding 168,000 U.S. military personnel, 182,000 private contractors, often acting as mercenary soldiers and paid many times more than U.S. soldiers, causing outrage by lowly aid soldiers as revealed on a recent Front Line TV expose, Bush complains that Iraq hasn't signed the oil contract that he desires.

The distribution deal that the U.S. wants Iraq to sign is for 63 of 80 of Iraq's oil wells to be placed on long-term lease for foreign investors, leaving Iraq in complete control of only 17 of their own oil wells.

So far Iraq has refused to sign over the majority of its oil wells - 63 out of 80 going to foreign investors.  Could that be one of the reasons that Iraqis have damaged oil pipelines?  

Could that lease agreement along with occupation by U.S. troops be the reason why a recent poll reveals that 70 percent of Iraqis want U.S. occupation forces out of the country?

U.S. oil billionaires and multi-millionaires conveniently keep their conspiracy of silence.  There are no television interviews being shown since they know what so many Americans think of them.  There is nary a word from Limbaugh, O'Reilly or Hannity on this subject, which is taboo along the right wing political talk circuit.

The U.S. occupation is costing U.S. taxpayers $2 billion every week.  There are now 3,821 U.S. service personnel dead as of this writing.  There are 55,000 combatants and non-combatants that have been wounded.  

According to a U.S.A. Today headline story of October 19, "VETERAN STRESS CASES UP SHARPLY."  A companion headline reads, "MENTAL ILLNESS IS NOW NO. 2 INJURY."

The story that appears beneath those headlines reveals:

"The number of Iraq and Afghanistan War veterans seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder from the Department of Veteran Affairs jumped nearly 20,000 - almost 70 percent in the 12 months ending June 30, VA vet records show."

Current studies reveal that 600,000 to 1 million Iraqis are dead while some 2,500,000 Iraqi refugees have fled to Syria, Jordan and Iran.

All this hell was generated by launching the Iraq War with media-orchestrated scare tactics over a non-existent threat of a nuclear attack from Iraq.  

Impeachment for such horrifying dereliction of duty is "off the table" according to the banker's wife, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  

U.S. moral values have been exposed in the light of truth at last.  An adulterous sex act in the U.S.A. can bring impeachment and a trial for the removal of the nation's chief executive.  

These defunct moral guardians who witness daily the tragic death, destruction and horrifying human suffering on TV are fully aware of what their warped moral judgments have wrought.  

Lying about a consensual extra marital sex act is clearly a greater wrongdoing than lying a nation into war with the result of up to one million deaths and a million and a half citizens of the besieged nation being forced to flee their homes while prompting a world refugee tragedy according to these self-righteous "moral guardians."

This is the kind of pathetically warped moral guidance millions of Americans regularly receive from the chicken hawks and corporate sellouts of the air waves -- Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Hannity.

Fox News, or as Keith Olbermann of MSNBC calls it, the Fixed News Whore House, has done its best to keep the human suffering off of its channel, but irrespective of that effort it has made its way into the nation's television news in graphic detail.  

When Americans view these grisly scenes they should realize that this is the end result of government by bribes and sell out.  The result constitutes bombs, bombast and destruction, the legacy of Bush and Cheney!

Viewing this carnage demonstrates the end result of what voting for the Iraq War debacle has accomplished.  The representatives defy popular will in refusing to vote to end Iraq War funding and bring the surviving U.S. service personnel home as soon as possible.

The trashing of real democracy in the U.S.A. has been accomplished.  Meanwhile a war launched on lies is used as a stepping stone to "real democracy" throughout the Middle East.  How hypocritical can you get!  

Could it be that the real reason for Bush not wanting to end this Iraq misadventure is directly and emphatically related to the fact that this crucial oil distribution deal has not yet been signed?

Some would say, "It's all about oil, stupid!"  Are they right?
