Does George Bush Believe in Democratic Rule?

"President Bush's war in Iraq was sold on lies. We had neither the need nor the right to invade and occupy Iraq and more than 3,000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have paid the highest price for the president's illegal occupation of Iraq. We are now trapped in a civil war in a distant land with no end in sight."
The Iraq War began by injecting heavy doses of fear into the American public. This was achieved with false facts, accelerated by a media blitz.
Once the proof was in, that there were no weapons of mass destruction threatening the U.S.A., this misguided effort morphed into Bush's do-gooder war to deliver democracy and freedom to Iraq, and letting these ideals ultimately spread to the entire Middle East.
Totally ignoring the will of the people, Bush has proven to be someone who proudly declares that he is the commander in chief, totally ignoring democracy.
Yet at the same time Bush declares that the U.S. service personnel are fighting and dying in Iraq for democracy he blatantly ignores democracy in the U.S.A.
Bush's day destined to live in infamy occurred when he was sped by helicopter from San Diego Harbor to a waiting naval carrier.
Decked out in a flight suit, Bush boarded the carrier. With TV cameras rolling Bush then triumphantly declared "Mission Accomplished."
That scene was hilarious enough to be included as a skit on Saturday Night Live, but for the fact that Bush's outrageous photo opportunity was so representative of death, destruction and debt, making it tragic rather than funny.
This is the Bush legacy of blood. It marks the Iraq War as one of the blackest moments in U.S. history over 400 years.
