Is the Iraq War Blood for Oil? Email Print

In a letter to the Seattle Times Jim Corey of Seattle wrote:

"I am horrified by the war.  Having been a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army ... I am now at my wit's end as to what to do about this catastrophic situation our country and the world is in ...

"A fundamental lesson in all military strategy is to know your enemy, and not be afraid to engage him diplomatically.  It creates the baseline on which to create a solution.  Why won't they be diplomats?"

This is an interesting question and the answer might not be as mysterious as it may seem.  First, this Iraq War was based on lies.

Why?  Perhaps the late President Gerald Ford provided the answer to this puzzling question years ago as oil prices were skyrocketing.

Ford stated bluntly, "If we can't get the oil we must have through negotiation, we will fight for oil" or words to that effect.

Senator Charles Schumer of New York stated on CNN on Sunday, May 5 why we might remain in Iraq "if we can't get a formula for distribution of oil."

What is the formula the U.S. is backing now?

That Antonia Juhasz revealed that oil distribution formula in a syndicated article published December 8, 2006 in the New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

Juhasz revealed that the U.S. wants 63 out of the total of 80 Iraq oil wells to be open to foreign investors on a lease agreement.

They want Iraq to completely control but 17 of their own 80 oil wells.

That oil contract offer should be revealed daily on CNN because many feel that it explains vividly why we are at war in Iraq.
