How did the U.S.A., which had long declared as a basic belief that the separation of church and state become involved in the Iraq War, which became a sectarian/civil war?

It all began with a fear campaign orchestrated by Bush using false information in a State of the Union Address.  Emphatically Bush declared that the U.S.A. was dangerously threatened by dictator Saddam Hussein's development of nuclear weapons.  He stated that the U.S. had proof that Saddam was obtaining yellow cake uranium to create nuclear weapons.

The gullible congressional members believed Bush.  When Bush's war cry sounded to save ourselves from Saddam, they were all ready to launch war against Iraq.  Leaping to their felt they gave Bush a standing ovation after he delivered a blatantly false message that was easily refutable.

Bush's war warnings were amplified by General Colin Powell's dramatic reading of forged documents at the United Nations declaring that we had iron clad proof that Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction.  

Fox News was quick to label his speech a virtuoso performance as Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity beat the war drums resoundingly as the supplicant audience zombies delivered the customary "Amens" in orchestrated synchronicity.

The warmongers linked the 9/11 World Trade Center terrorist attack to guarantee the general public would go along with the Iraq War in spite of the fact that no proof existed linking Iraq to those tragedies.

The Greek chorus of media dittoheads continued echoing the war cry.  Admitted drug addict Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, who quickly saw that his sex harassment case was settled with the help of Fox's gigantic pocket book, combined to sound just the proper moral note, as individuals in their circumstances are so inclined to do.

With a promotional label like a TV ad, the Iraq War began with the formidable title of "shock and awe" as Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld proudly unleashed his air forces, that we were told were so clever that they would attack only Saddam's forces and leave the Baghdad civilian population alone.

For years the U.S. and other nations had bought Saddam's oil and supplied him with an endless array of weapons to kill Iranians and any Iraqi opposition.  

The Gulf War was triggered when Kuwait slant-drilled to steal Iraqi oil.  When Saddam Hussein asked April Glaspie, the U.S. Ambassador in Iraq, what the U.S. would do if he invaded Kuwait to stop the from slant drilling to steal Iraqi oil, he was told that Washington considered this an Arab-Arab problem.

This response prompted Iraq to invade Kuwait.  This appears to be what the U.S. wanted.  Now the elder Bush expressed outrage and quickly organized a coalition to stop Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.  George Bush the Elder expressed outrage and quickly organized a coalition to stop Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.  

Russia requested time out for negotiation, but Bush, like his son, could not wait to lanch war against Iraq.  The war cry was the same, to bring justice and freedom to a Middle East nation.  

The Gulf War was won swiftly.  Many of the Iraqi troops running across the burning desert sands, were viewed on international television with their hands held high in surrender.

This Gulf War death toll has never been revealed.  When Colin Powell was asked about it once at a press conference he stated bluntly that it was not an issue of concern to him.  The generals warned not to invade Baghdad as it could become a sectarian religious conflict.  

The Elder Bush listened to this dire warning.  Tragically the young Bush apparently figured the Iraq War would be a cinch, hastily won like the Gulf War.  He figured Saddam's enemies would welcome the U.S. overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

When Saddam Hussein's huge statue was demolished as TV cameras showed this event worldwide.  Eventually Saddam was caught and imprisoned.

The destruction of much of the Iraqi infrastructure and the deaths of innocent civilians in the process did not seem to bother anyone very much.  Bush was certain that the Iraq War was almost over.

To celebrate this false illusion of victory in Iraq Bush donned a flight suit and was flown from San Diego Harbor to a waiting naval ship.  Once on board, with TV cameras grinding, he triumphantly declared, "Mission Accomplished."  

In reality the mission had only begun.  

Hastily, George Bush changed the reason for the Iraq War when the self-defense argument vanished when no weapons of mass destruction were found.  

Suddenly Bush declared the Iraq War had been transformed from self-defense to a war destined to deliver democracy and freedom to Iraq and spreading to the entire Middle East.  

The reality of the outcome of the Iraq War is written in blood.  Estimates claim that between 600,000 to 1 million Iraqis dead.  Over 3,569 U.S. service personnel came back in coffins.  Over 55,000 combatants and non-combatants were wounded.  Two million Iraqis have fled for their lives to Syria, Jordan and Iran.  Another 2 million Iraqis are displaced.

Embittered militant Muslims in England became enraged over what Britain and the U.S. have done in Iraq.  London Underground trains were hit with bombs.  Recently bombs were planted in a couple of cars on London streets.  Another bomb was planted in a car and driven into Glasgow Airport.

British Security has traced the suspected Underground bomb killers and has them in custody.  The bombs planted in the two cars in London and the single car at Glasgow Airport killed no one.  

Apparently it was an amateur operation.  The menacing Muslim bombers were doctors and a medical student inflamed over the Iraq War.  In interviews they stated their reasons for seeking revenge.

Could it be all the congressional talk about pulling troops out of Iraq is a cruel hoax?  Why is the U.S. building the biggest U.S. embassy in the world in Iraq?  This Iraq U.S. embassy consists of 21 buildings with a total cost of $592 million.

Two Middle East companies are doing the embassy construction; a Saudi construction company called Red Sea Housing and First Kuwaiti Construction Company, according to the June 5 Seattle Times.  

The Justice Department is scrutinizing alleged labor abuses.  Wiring problems have been covered up with false claims and even worse, "The embassy cable noted a $500,000 project to install a fire-suppression system that appeared to be proceeding without proper supervision."

Four fires have broken out in the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.  The article stated "The 252 prefabricated residential trailers with either two or three rooms filled with formaldehyde."

Red Sea Housing, the builder, revealed they used a toxic chemical during construction.  They advised keeping windows open and to burn charcoal to absorb the awful odor.

Kitchen wiring was so defective they could not cook meals until repairs are made.  James Golden, director of overseas building, was upset over the June 8 cable revealing all these major building defects.

This $592 million white elephant embassy that the U.S. taxpayer is funding, plunging the U.S. into deeper debt, all this while 45 million U.s. citizens have no health insurance.

It is gratifying that the Catholic Church has apologized for both the Crusades and the Inquisition.  Pope Urban II, who launched the Christian Crusades, never claimed that God counseled him personally to launch the Crusades.

George Bush, on the other hand, made such a claim in launching the Iraq War, his own modern day crusade.  

Should we therefore blame God or George Bush for the Iraq War debacle?
