Reid, Pelosi; You Don't Negotiate with a Dictator, You Impeach Him!

A classic example occurred when yesterday's (July 24) New York Times reported that Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, concerned that George W. Bush is playing politics with key legislation he threatens to veto, announced their intention to seek a meeting with him to resolve the impasse.
The article brought immediately to mind a term Jerry Brown used when he was California's governor, "planetary realism." To request such a meeting with Bush at this time to resolve a legislative impasse flies in the face of planetary realism.
The article brought to mind as well that so frequently repeated film footage from 1940 showing a thoroughly flummoxed Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain standing in the balcony of his residence at 10 Downing Street holding proudly aloft a piece of paper.
What it actually insured was power hungry dictator Adolf Hitler occupying Czechoslovakia in his onward quest to conquer the world and implant a Third Reich that he proudly boasted was destined to rule planet earth for one thousand years.
Now we have a power hungry dictatorial regime in Washington that seeks the same kind of unalloyed grip. These are the same neoconservatives that wrote via the Project for the New American Century about a "New Pearl Harbor" that came on 9/11.
These neocons then used those tragic events to clamp a stranglehold on the U.S. Constitution under the guise of combating terrorism.
That same regime defied the international community and, after meeting with oil executives from the likes of Halliburton and Bechtel over how the lucrative proceeds would be divided, attacked Iraq in defiance of international law based on a tissue of easily refutable lies.
While Dick Cheney stirred the pot and directed traffic on behalf of the global neocon architects of a New World Order, which would exist without concern for international law and absent the approval of votes, spokesperson designate Bush delivered boiler plate falsehoods.
These distortions were designed to terrify the citizenry into thinking that America needed to act fast to avoid the "great white mushroom cloud" that would otherwise await it in the form of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's vaunted nuclear arsenal.
The Cheney-Bush neocon ruling cabal refused to heed the earnest urgings of Hans Blix and the team of UN weapons inspectors to be allowed to finish their efforts for a practical reason.
The steadfast proponents of the New World Order knew that no such weapons existed. Rather than risk a full-fledged conflict with the international community, it was ruled that the time to strike was immediately.
So the initial waves of "shock and awe" bombings were commenced. When the response anticipated by Middle East experts of Iraqi resistance occurred, including those who joined the ongoing insurgency from outside Iraq, spokesperson Bush linked ongoing events to the "war on terror" and specifically Osama bin Laden.
It was obvious to those who knew the Middle East and were willing to recognize reality that any effort on the part of the U.S. to occupy Iraq would lead to intense resistance on the part of the global Arab community.
Remember how quickly Phil Donahue was dismissed for "low ratings" on MSNBC for daring to let some of these Middle East experts come on his program and explain in advance what ultimately came to pass in Iraq?
But truth, logic and reason are antithetical to the consistent propaganda barrage of the neocons that hungrily pursue global power.
Iran is seen as the next step as neocon mouthpiece Senator Joe Lieberman and others urge that the U.S. attack that nation for our own protection before the vigilant enemy can deliver an assault via a white mushroom cloud.
Due to the continuing war against terror all is fair within and outside America's borders, leading to preventive detention from within and torture at outposts like Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib.
Meanwhile "suspects" from other nations are kidnapped, flown to other destinations and tortured under rendition while the neocon rubber stamp, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, approves all in "the public interest" of fighting terrorism in the spirit of 9/11.
So this is the regime that Reid and Pelosi would like to hold civil discourse with as in the spirit of the prophet Isaiah's maxim of letting us reason together.
Yes, the same power hungry cabal that, if you dare oppose its practices and methods, dusts off the old Nixon-McCarthy smear line via Karl Rove of "You are giving aid and comfort to the enemy."
Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi, just as Neville Chamberlain was dead wrong for believing he could reason with Adolf Hitler, you are equally and tragically mistaken for believing that you can reason with New World Order mouthpiece George Bush.
You do not seek a meeting with George Bush, Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi. You seek to remove the cancer of this menacing dictatorial neocon regime through the constitutional remedy of impeachment.
Speaker Pelosi, before assuming your current position you stated that regarding Bush impeachment was "off the table."
You had it backwards. In a power hungry dictatorship with an unbending lust for power, it is discussion that is off the table.
Impeachment with a vigilant determination to restore the Constitution is paramount,a necessary objective to be pursued with unstinting vigor.
