Look Congress In the Eye on September 4th 
Working with Iraq Veterans Against the War for the past year has taught me many things. Everything I thought about the war and the military was wrong. I did not grow up in a military family and serving this country in uniform was not something I ever considered. After working with veterans and active-duty soldiers I realize how ignorant and stupid I have been.
The military-the rank and file who do the work-is against this war. I have no doubt. Polls by Zogby show it and the experience of active-dutry soldiers and veterans confirms it.
The American public is also against this war. But polls no longer matter and even large protests will no longer make a large impact. It is time to take it directly to Congress, where they work and stand watch until they end this war. Let's get started on September 4th when they come back from their summer vacations.
