What Price Oil?

The formula for peace was spelled out in oversize bold print: "When governments grant people means to control their assets, they empower them to invest and plan for their future."
If this is the wise policy for Kenya why isn't the U.S. government applying it to Iraq and its oil asset? If the U.S. would let Iraq control its oil, which is claimed to be one-third of that contained in the entire world, perhaps Iraqis would be motivated to end this Iraq War disaster.
The U.S. has a plan on Iraqi oil distribution. With 80 oil wells in Iraq, the distribution deal the U.S. is desperately trying to get Iraqis to sign is to provide "foreign investors" with long-term leases on 63 Iraqi oil wells. That will leave Iraq in control of only 17 of their own nation's oil wells.
Was the fear used to launch the Iraq War that the U.S. was threatened by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction only a carefully orchestrated propaganda campaign? Were U.S. citizens victims of a propaganda campaign to raise the war fever by exploiting patriotism with diabolical deceit?
The World Court should investigate this vital global issue. Between 600,000 to a million Iraqis estimated to have lost their lives since the initial invasion of Iraq, with over 3,600 U.S. service personnel dead and over 55,000 combatants and non-combatants wounded.
Two million Iraqis have escaped to Syria, Jordan and Iran to save their lives. Enormous problems have been generated throughout the entire Middle East while Iraq's infrastructure has been demolished.
The U.S. taxpayer is told that we cannot afford universal health care while the Iraq War costs have escalated to $300 billion and continue to rapidly rise. This combination of destructive economic activity has generated for the U.S. the biggest debt in the history of the world, which is rapidly approaching $10 trillion.
Someone must be held accountable for this tragic destruction. The only obvious benefit the U.S. could derive from the Iraq War is the access to lease some of the 63 Iraqi oil wells.
So far the Iraqis have refused to allow foreign investors to hold long-term leases to control 63 of Iraq's 80 oil leases.
Saddam Hussein had maintained total control of all of Iraq's 80 oil wells just as Iran and Saudi Arabia maintain total control of their valuable oil assets.
If Madeleine Albright and Hernando De Soto tell us that Kenya's government should control all of Kenya's assets, why doesn't Iraq have an equal right of total control of all of its assets - including oil?
The investigative book that will be written by an honest, truthful, courageous author will provide every detail of how George Bush's ruinous reign as a U.S. president brought about the Iraq War debacle. This book can be called "What Price Oil?"
