I Declare Al Gore to be my De Facto President! Email Print

Since January 2001 I have withheld the term and designation of President from the current occupant of the White House for the basic reason that he was never elected.

The unconscionable fraud and blatant racism of the Jeb Bush-Katherine Harris team in perpetrating fraud in Florida during the 2000 presidential election and its aftermath was nothing other than the kind of pernicious fascism that has reigned in banana republics and prevented honest victors from attaining office.

More of the same occurred in 2004 in Ohio, as unmasked by Robert Fitzakis and others.  Meanwhile mathematics professor Steve Freeman and others have validated the reliable exit polls that revealed John Kerry as winner of the popular vote over Bush by a 51-48 margin.

In Ohio Ken Blackwell orchestrated the same kind of banana republic fraudulent activity to obtain that key state for Bush and Cheney.

As in the case of Florida four years earlier, the result was obtained through the abrogation of election law through the rank practice of racism to prevent African Americans from exercising their franchise and insuring a fallacious result.

Along with the foregoing there is the performance level of an unelected junta run in a ruthlessly anti-democratic fashion for the benefit of the top one-half of one percent of the American people and an economic corporate global elite.

A war was launched by obtaining votes through blatant misrepresentation as evidence was manufactured and doctored to "prove" the falsehood that Iraq under dictator Saddam Hussein, a former corporate global as well as American puppet, possessed weapons of mass destruction that he was prepared to imminently unleash against America.

The lie was unmasked.  Ultimately between 600,000 and 1 million lives have been lost in that bloody conflict with no end in sight.

So the same ruthless gang of neoconservative thugs has shifted the Iraq focus to make a war generated through lies a global battle against terrorism generally and Osama bin Laden in particular.

Pursuing this same tactical line, the Constitution has been scrapped and international law has been ruthlessly flaunted through repeated acts of preventive detention domestically and rendition internationally.  Torture camps are the order in the day in the manner of the most brutal dictatorships.

All this is done to combat the "war on terror" while no official act of war has been declared against a specific nation, rendering the process devoid of constitutional merit.  Then again, the Constitution today is whatever Cheney and Bush declare it to be.

The above route has become too circuitous and time consuming for them, and so they have effectively declared the U.S. Constitution to be null and void.

With all the Reagan and Bush I and II appointees in the federal judiciary, and with Federalist Society stalwarts such as Justices Scalia and Thomas on the job, they are worry free from any kind of judicial "interference" with their plans to interrogate and/or imprison anyone falling under the broad and hazily undefined definition of an "enemy combatant."

Tsarist and Stalinist Russia had Siberia.  Now we have Guantanamo and as Donald Rumsfeld declared, "Stuff happens!"

This unelected and thoroughly lawless regime does not represent me.  It was not elected in either 2000 or 2004.

Al Gore was elected in 2000 and that is good enough for me.  In nations where tyranny rules, governments in exile are established.

I therefore declare Al Gore to be my De Facto President.

Gore actually won the 2000 election.  Blatant and unconscionable fraud prevented him from taking office.

The rankest Federalist Society judicial prostitution presided over by Justice Scalia prevented him from rightfully assuming the office to which a majority of voting Americans elected him.

Without the blatant disenfranchisement of citizens in Florida by Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris, Gore rightfully secured a majority in the Electoral College as well.

Who do sophisticated European political leaders look to for enlightened leadership and vision?  Certainly not the inarticulate and clueless make believe leader, the puppet of the global neoconservative New World Order.

Al Gore in marked contrast has enunciated a far-sighted vision in seeking to save the planet from destruction by the corrupt corporate interests who control Cheney and Bush.

Gore has railed against the shattering of the Constitution in the name of fighting the war on terror.  He seeks to restore the Bill of Rights that has been hijacked by a ruling junta to serve its own dictatorial ends.

For the foregoing reasons I declare Al Gore to be my De Facto President!

I'm with you, Bill!  If only there was the slightest chance Gore would run.  Let's hoping the next president will have the wisdom to put Gore in his/her cabinet.  He's doing a ton of good work now, but the U.S., at this point, needs the biggest and best saviour they can find, and no one comes close to Gore.

Hey there,

This is my first post, but I've read quite a bit in favor of Al Gore here.  If you really truly believe he is your leader, I hope you'll be willing to do something about it...

I'm running DraftGoreNE.com, which is organizing various draft groups in New England.  There's also a group called Draft Gore Massachusetts, and we're getting ready to launch a ballot petition drive.  You can find out about it at Mass4Gore.org.

If nothing else, maybe you could send (even via email) a letter to your local newspaper expressing your feelings, and directing interested parties to the above two web-sites, that would help.  There are other national groups, but we're working with them, and the local groups tend to be more focussed on "making things happen".

The train is leaving.  Hop on!

and I provide reasons in my ensuing article why this should be done.  I also provide some historical insight into the draft process.

Thanks for your response and keep us posted since this is a site that is very Gore friendly, as you noted.

So many of us would love seeing Gore as President during this period of tragedy and travail.

for your support regarding my last column.  As you can see I have continued this theme with another column in the same vein on drafting Gore for President.

You are correct that Gore has the vision and insight to become an effective leader in seeking answers to the basic questions facing America and the world, beginning with how to save our planet.
