Urgent: Senators secretly block anti-corruption bill

This Friday, telephone your U.S. senators to urge their support for the Whistleblower Act amendments legislation. (The Capitol switchboard, 202-224-3121, will connect you with your Senator.)
The legislation is in danger of dying if Congress doesn't pass it before they go home for the election. But, several Senators reportedly are blocking a final vote on the bill with secret holds.
No matter which presidential candidate moves into the White House in January, the law promised by this legislation will be critical to preventing corruption from destroying the efficiency, integrity and cost-effectiveness of the government programs.
But, time is running out. A hard-won opportunity to change the culture of corruption is Washington is about to disappear. All who are feeling the pain of the Wall Street bailout should be pushing hard for this bill.
