Joe the Plumber and John the Senator; Partners in Fraud

From the time that "Joe the Plumber" surged on the scene many of us were extremely skeptical.
One got the feeling from watching Barack Obama with patient courtesy responding to the inquiry from a man who, as it turned out, is not a licensed plumber, is not in a position to buy his employer's business, would not be anywhere close to the threshold of any federal tax hike even if he did, has donated campaign money to McCain and has a federal tax lien against him, that the alleged "man on the street" was a plant.
The body language was unconvincing. Joe seemed tenuous and his performance appeared stagy as in managed. After monopolizing a significant amount of Obama's time, an impatient hush could be heard coming over the group of Obama supporters. One got the distinct feeling that many were skeptical of Joe.
McCain's conduct following the debate regarding Joe was even more angrily absurdist than what many have come to expect. Obama was blamed for invading Joe's privacy when it was the bogus business expanding Joe who sought out Obama.
Then McCain once more entered the dippy state to which he and running mate Sarah Palin have so successfully and repeatedly achieved. To cheer Joe up all those regular Joes in America should send him an e-mail to demonstrate their support. This is sensible in the world of a presidential candidate who defies logic and reason.
Premise: Poor Joe the Plumber has had his privacy invaded. Conclusion: Blanket him with e-mails from people he does not know from the length and breadth of America.
Time has shown that Joe has adjusted to the attention, McCain's concern to the contrary. In fact, it is currently being reported that he is seeking to put together a book deal, as well as considering a run for Congress in 2010. Can Joe count on Soccer Mom Sarah Palin for an endorsement? What about Joe Six Pack and Joe the Rifleman and Avid Hunter? A Joe Coalition is actively forming!
So now the same John McCain who sought to convince Americans that the Joe the Plumber phenomenon was spontaneous is using him at campaign stops. Joe has become so overwhelmed by fame that he has even revealed his thought processes in foreign policy, having apparently previously mastered economics through an instant seminar with John McCain relative to prospective tax burdens.
Joe's most quotable foreign policy gem, delivered in Columbus, Ohio warned that a vote for Obama "is a vote for the death of Israel."
At a certain point, though, Joe reached a moment of truth when he conceded that he knows nothing about foreign affairs. It was comparable to John McCain's truthful declaration in the Republican primary season that he is no expert on economics.
Now John the Senator suddenly considers himself well versed enough on economics to hurl a "socialist" charge at Barack Obama.
The same candidate who at one point did not even know how many houses he owned, which turns out to be 7 along with 13 vehicles, has no better understanding or credibility on what constitutes socialism than he had on presidential power in exclaiming that he would immediately fire the Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman.
This same McCain is so lacking in integrity that he during the campaign season tweaked his Republican presidential rivals by saying that he had been a stronger supporter of George Bush than they, basking in his loyal 90 percent support level, only to subsequently run away and proclaim that he is every bit as opposed to Bush's policies as Obama.
The big measuring rod between himself and Obama, according to John the Senator, is that he is in favor of allowing Americans to generate wealth for themselves while Obama, with his socialistic views, seeks to subtract their wealth.
How about the bailout you proclaim, Senator, as being necessary for the public interest? Was there no socialism involved in bailing out bankers?
On the subject of redistribution, you formerly opposed those Bush style tax cuts you now support with vigor. To ask individuals such as yourself as a 7 home owner to ease back to a Clinton tax level, a bracket lower than under your proclaimed idol Ronald Reagan, is seen as some kind of mad march to Marxism.
The fact is, John the Senator, that it is becoming increasingly evident that your rhetoric marks you as the kind of fraud that would whip up an absurdist faux populist campaign such as that centered around your new friend Joe the Plumber.
