Senator McCain: How Will You Finance 100 Year Wars?

We noticed you singing with supreme gusto "Bomb Iran" with the kind of zeal indicative of someone serious about what he is singing.
Senator McCain, according to that reliable barometer, our National Debt Clock in Times Square, we currently stand ever closer to the at one time unimagined precipice of $9.3 trillion en route to a staggering $10 trillion figure.
First, do you intend to launch a McCain Administration in the manner that ardent neoconservatives such as the "military expert" team of Norman Podhoretz, Bill Kristol, George Will, Jonah Goldberg and Rich Lowry would urge by launching a military attack against Iran?
Many of us would anticipate such a result since it is unclear to us that Iranians would welcome our presence on an extended basis, beginning with military attack, anymore than was been the case in Iraq.
We recall that memorable statement when you indicated that we might remain in Iraq for "100 years." Let us say that your conditional prediction becomes reality. In that case what would your estimated cost be for a century in Iraq?
I don't think any realistic assessment would anticipate a brief stay in Iran if you want the citizenry to ultimately reach the status you anticipate achieving in Iraq. If so, Senator McCain, does this mean that we can anticipate remaining in Iran for 100 years as well, presumably during the same century that we maintain an active military presence in Iraq?
Again, that sticky issue of cost arises. Senator McCain, we need to approach you again and ask how much you conclude it will cost to remain in Iran for a century.
The Project for the New American Century, the think tank that appears to above all others influence the military direction of the current administration, beginning with the strategy to prepare for Iraq prior to 9/11, would also like an active U.S. presence to occur in other Middle East nations such as Syria and Lebanon.
If America is to obtain status comparable to Rome as a world empire and you concur with this global objective then we must ask - Senator McCain, do you also intend to invade and occupy Syria and Lebanon?
Should you occupy those nations do you have a 100 year plan in mind for Syria and Lebanon? Also, what is the projected cost for your incursions and remaining activity in Syria and Lebanon over a 100 year period?
This type of vigorous military action in pursuit of Middle East Empire is anything but wholly speculative. Begin reading neoconservative long term intentions as evidenced by the Project for the New American Century. It is tragic how few Americans are aware of even its existence, much less its influence.
Senator McCain, one must also ask if your long term pursuit of military activity, as you indicated pursuant to a recent comment that Americans under your administration could anticipate a significant amount of militarism, is in line with the beliefs of Grover Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform.
It was Norquist who, referring to pre-Bush government with the idea of safety nets and regulations stated his intention to assist in the ultimate "drowning in the bathtub" of such concepts that are universally accepted elsewhere and at one time were in America as well by Republicans as well as Democrats.
The Norquist concept is in direct line with feudalism, in short, eliminating the middle class, the staple element of traditional democratic society. If young Americans are unfortunate to be members of the ruling aristocracy, as in the case of Rome, they can anticipate joining the military in one form or another.
You formerly opposed the Bush tax cuts, which were a sellout to the richest of Americans and solidly embraced by Norquist and others intent on squeezing out the middle class and creating the new fighting American aristocracy, constantly advancing the goal of empire.
We know that you now favor the extension of tax cuts you believed at one point to be fiscally irresponsible. Meanwhile you speak of policies to extend American military activity abroad.
Will those extended tax cuts suck all the wind out of the middle class, Senator McCain?
Is that what neoconservatives like Norquist intend?
Will you send us on the road to global empire, using young Americans devoid of other options, who will comprise your new military?
The ball is in your court, Senator McCain. We await your explanation.
