How about a plan offering immediate relief, revenge (called balance for PR release), economic stimulus, and the feeling of being able to accomplish as encompassing an improvement to many lives as the counterparty has produced degradation.
Eliminate all penalty fees extracted by banks and credit card issuers and cap interest at pre-deregulation levels.
Elminate usury by either/any name.
Cap mortgage interest at a plausible rate for any mortgages written this decade.
Said taxpayer relief to last as long as the bailouts are being financed.
Is this not perfect karma? I think so.
Is it karma if you help it along? I don't care.
The perfection of this plan is that it is extremely brief and understandable and can be maintained as a counterpoint to whatever is devised on the bailout side no matter how messy that gets. Let's face it, if the Reps haven't taught us anything else since 1994 it is that simple wins with voters almost every time.
