How splendid it is for the Miss America Pageant to name Rush Limbaugh as one of its seven judges for its next competition.

The name of the game was clearly numbers since the Miss America Pageant people quickly bandied around the 20 million number as embodying Limbaugh's regular radio audience.

The numbers game has clearly made him welcome. The Pageant's CEO Art McMaster has said it is "thrilled" to have Limbaugh as a judge. His 22 years as a radio talk show host clearly impressed McMaster and others on the Miss America Pageant team.

Limbaugh's selection is a boom to critics of beauty pageants who think the idea is tired, archaic, and chauvinistic. McMaster and the Pageant officials have handed anti-beauty contest feminists a gold-plated rallying point.

Then there is that infamous appellation that Limbaugh applied to those women who happened to, God forbid, disagree with him politically. They were called feminazis.

Oh yes, Art McMaster, you are delighted to have Limbaugh at your pageant. Lately he has been referring to Obama as a racist, declaring that the president is at war with the white race. He has also accused the Obama administration of generating a fascist state.

There is one fact for Art McMaster and other Miss America Pageant officials to note.

Along with your selection of Limbaugh as a judge you have chosen the same city for your pageant where Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear during a heavyweight title fight.
