Are Drugs Linked to Michael Jackson's Death? Email Print

The big question now is who supplied Michael Jackson with his drugs all these years?  Did anyone supply Jackson with a deadly drug that may have killed him?

Did the Michael Jackson fan following have even a slight awareness of the possibility that the entertainer they worshiped had sadly become an often very tired, possibly even burned out drug victim?

A mystery element entered the puzzling picture of Jackson's untimely death when his London show backer revealed on the June 2 Anderson Cooper 360 program the following startling fact.

He explained how Michael had adamantly refused to accept the London doctor who had been chosen to stay with him.

Instead, Michael insisted on having the U.S. doctor he selected to remain with him at all times at his Holmby Hills rented residence.

And Jackson insisted they pay this doctor $150,000 a week, which they felt was exorbitant.

Why was this one doctor so important to Michael?

Reverend Al Sharpton also appeared on the June 2 Anderson Cooper telecast.

Sharpton complained about the media dwelling so much on Michael Jackson's possible drug addiction.  He pointed out that we do not yet have the final autopsy report, which will reveal the extent of drugs in Jackson's body at the time of his death.

Also, Reverend Sharpton reminded us that singer Frank Sinatra had his flaws.  But after his death the media never focused on Sinatra's negative side.

Of course, the major difference with Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson is simply the possibility of a drug link to Michael Jackson's tragic death at the age of 50.

It is a tragic reality that drugs in the black community are responsible for many black deaths and imprisonments.  There are many deaths related to black gang drug wars, a subject that is being reported continuously.

The U.S.A. represents only 5 percent of the world's population, but its people use 50 percent of the world's drug supply.

This is a grim reality!

Every day we are given a media blitz on the life and death of Michael Jackson, along with details about preparations for his funeral.

The Staples Center in Los Angeles, instead of Never Land Ranch, has been decided upon to make it possible for fans from around the world to pay their last respect to this global icon.

While celebrating the remarkable life of an incredible entertainer, the world must wait for the final autopsy report to know whether or not there is a drug link to the tragic death of this beloved star, Michael Jackson.

One Level Deeper and Ask The Next Question I saw two things this morning that caused me to think that we need to go one level deeper and ask the next question. First there was an article on Michael Jackson's death entitled "Drug Propofol eyed in Michael Jackson's death investigation: Rx for trouble." In the article, the author cites a study in which it was determined that at least six medical residents died as the result of overdosing on the drug Propofol. Let's take it the next step and ask: Why did all these doctors feel compelled to take something to decompress? Why -- other than the addiction -- did Michael Jackson feel compelled to take something? Secondly, I watched an Msnbc clip with a panel that included Eliot Spitzer, Bill Fleckenstein, and Robert Shiller. All seemed to agree that capitalism without regulation is not the answer. Except for the most ideological among us, we can agree on this. However, to say that capitalism with regulation is the answer is to ign
