Al Gore and the media: sinking to a new low

So as a supporter of him and his work, I'm going to now be honest about my feelings regarding his involvement with Hollywood types who in my eyes are no different than Washington DC soul suckers and the media who is their willing accomplice:
Regarding public matters however, I personally always thought she (and perhaps others) were just in it for the name recognition and money, ergo, producing An Inconvenient Truth after jetting Al Gore to California to a big Beverly Hills ballroom filled with stuffy, hypocritical, rich Hollywood friends who think a red carpet is some sort of magical entry to a better world to show off the new 'find' that was going to make her richer and even more 'important' to the environmental movement. I can even believe her heart was pounding at the prospect. The only question is what was making her heart pound faster? Was it the prospect of using Mr. Gore to supplement her cred further, or the fact that she could use her money to buy him? I certainly would think if so that she and they grossly underestimated him. What can I say? The Hollywood scene doesn't hold much credibility or trust for me. I also base that theory on his own words in interviews and seeing him in pictures in that time in certain settings where I believe he was uncomfortable with it.
Therefore, based on all that and after all I have written about regarding this man's life and after all I too have been through over those years in living those events from his Vice Presidency all the way to his Nobel Prize and all of my endeavors to support him in between and knowing the passion he has for the Earth, his work and his family, I don't believe the rags. I don't believe he would hurt his family that way. I don't believe he would hurt those who are his friends and those who have supported him that way.
But I do believe that tabloid rags on the whole are the butthole of American media and the greatest distraction to Democracy, and that there is someone or some entity deliberately behind the timing of this now for a select purpose regardless of what may have been the machinations of anyone else previously regarding events in his life. Which makes me wonder: Which is really the biggest den of iniquity? Hollywood, or Washington DC?
I was also thinking (I do a lot of that) about who or what entities would stoop so low as to start such a rumor and of course my mind wound up at the same culprits. Let's face it, the science on global warming Mr. Gore relayed from scientists and from his own work for thirty plus years is bearing out in reality as I type this. He is once again giving lectures based on his most recent book, Our Choice, and starting a chapter of the Climate Project in China. He will be training teens in Nashville to become climate presenters, and his work on investing in alternate energy sources for the future is obviously doing good business.
In other words, every attempt in the past to bring this man down has failed. And now after announcing this month that he and his wife of 40 years were separating without giving the 'press' any juicy little tidbits to play with, they along with the usual suspects (perhaps even from the climate denialist movement, or someone else looking for attention) concocted a way to get juicy information out here to distract from his message in an attempt to assassinate his character. It is afterall their MO and nothing new regarding him and the media in this country that thrives on baseless, substanceless, uncorroborated twallop that is a more than willing partner in pushing it down our throats in typical tabloid American fashion. It is truly an assault on reason. To think this media and those involved in cajoling him into the Hollywood limelight for their own causes may have managed through those efforts to reduce this statesman to nothing more in memory to the public than a cheap tawdry rag magazine gossip blurb goes beyond the boundaries of morality. Shame on them all.
Oh well, those are my thoughts on this and to be honest even though I don't believe this would happen on his part my heart is still a bit heavy because I know how life sometimes works and how so many manipulate it for their own purposes. To me Mr. Gore has always been a man of principles, substance, spirituality, and statesmanship. A man I freely supported, defended, advocated for, voted for, and waited 8 hours for in the scorching heat to have him sign a copy of my book after only seeing him for two minutes because he was worth it to me. I even count him as a kindred spirit on the environment. It is absolutely absurd to think he would give up all he worked for, for well, that: That pretend world where people wouldn't know the true meaning of the word love if it bit them on their pampered a^^e^ and where 'being your friend' is only a phrase used when you have given them something in return. OK, so I've said it, so now I will move on here hoping that the phony plastic world he was conjoled into thinking he had to enter to get his point across did not tarnish in any way the man I know he is from his own words and actions over the years (though some would say his purchase of a huge mansion in Montecito is proof this all has changed him) or steal the passion he has for preserving our only home, and that one day media rags will be relegated to the fire where they belong.
I truly love and respect you Mr. Gore. I wish you and your family peace of mind. Please stay away from Hollywood... and as an addendum to that, perhaps it is time sir for you to evaluate just where all this has taken you as a person. Washington DC isn't the only place that can steal a soul if you aren't paying attention.
