Al Gore vindicated-where's the apologies?

Well, it has been stated by scientists that this year so far is the warmest year on record globally with the overall trend showing that the Earth is warming, with scientists now telling people to stop denying its existence because to continue to do so is putting our continued ability to live sustainably on this planet in jeopardy. And as of yesterday, the Portland DA announced after opening the sexual assault allegation case against former Vp Al Gore that there was no credible evidence to bring charges against him for those false allegations and that essentially Molly Haggerty lied.
As I have written before I have supported Al for many years and written about his books, his presentations, and the events surrounding his life, and after doing that for a certain number of years you do get to know a person's character because a person's character and soul is transferred to paper through their books when what they are writing about is something that is also their heart, as it is with Al and the environment.
Therefore, I have no qualms in stating that I am very pleased for him regarding this development and knew he was an honorable man for whom delivering the message and solving the climate crisis has been and still is his primary goal in life, unlike the primary goal of those for whom bringing him down to shut him up has been theirs.
So now I'm waiting... I'm waiting for those who flocked to websites to vent their petty hatred and falsely accuse him of being a "sexual predator"... I'm waiting for the media outlets, FOX NEWS in general that reported biased pieces about him to deliberately tarnish his character and plant seeds of doubt about the credibility of his work simply based on political bias that was nowhere near "fair and balanced" (and yes, Sean Hannity I'm looking at you)...I'm waiting for the climate change deniers who are now hiding in their little cubbyholes...What am I waiting for you may ask? Well, I'm waiting for the apology. I'm waiting for the admission of their guilt and I think after all of the years of reading the lies, misrepresentations, hateful banter with no proof, and the general malignment of his character that one is definitely in order because it is that hateful banter and media bias that in my opinion helped keep this good man from serving in the one position he was rightfully elected to as well, and it has to stop.
Of course, I don't expect to see any apologies clogging the same tabloid trash that peddles it out for the ignorant masses while making liars rich. I don't expect FOX NEWS to have any semblance of journalistic integrity in apologizing to a former Vice President, Nobel Prize recipient, and a man who has done more to work to make this world a better place than they could ever hope to do peddling their bombast and hateful political rhetoric. However, I can hope to think that somewhere along the way they would see the error of their ways and for once exhibit some humility after wiping the froth from their mouths.
However, should that not happen, no mind I suppose and no surprise. It still does not in any way negate the important work at hand in now doing all we can to stave off the worst effects of an environmental catastrophe that is knocking at our front doors (hint U.S. Congress) which does not distinquish tabloid trash or political bias or envy or revenge.
So on that note let me end this by stating once again my thanks to Al for his persistant relentless perseverence in doing the right thing even in the face of all of the hatred and denial because the truth is more important. I say it takes a person of true character to do that... Wouldn't you agree?
Love and peace,
