Veterans need help Now, Contact Congress Email Print

The Congress, both houses, have failed the veterans used in hazardous substance  experiments from WW2 thru the end of human experimentation in 1975, when after public outcry and congressional investigations, by Vice President Nelson Rockefeller and then the Church Commission, exposed the depth of violations by the CIA and DOD of the Nuremeberg Codes of 1947 on American military personnel.

Senator Jay Rockefeller conducted the Rockefeller Commission of 1994 that delved into all of the programs, nuclear, radiation, chemical and biological. It is now 2006 and the federal government refuses to find these veterans who were harmed in these experiments  why? Why hasn't our Congress, our elected officials ever forced them to deal with a six decades long problem?

Cold War test veterans win in Britain why not in the U.S.? Email Print

Even the British are being made to answer for their version of Edgewood Arsenal, it is called Porton Downs, the difference is in Britian the  public did not learn of the testing until six years ago, they have compensated one family and know they have to compensate hundreds more.

How does this differ from the tests the American Governmnet did at Edgewood Arsenal Maryland, nothing except the amount of men used, the British used 700 men from 1939 thru 1989 The American government used 7120 men from 1952 thru 1975 in the Cold War experiments and another approximate 4000 men in the WW2 era experiments.

Questions for President Bush, Cheney, Rummy and Nicholson Email Print

From 1952 thru 1975  the United States used 7120 men in chemical weapons experiments using stuff like mustard agents, Sarin, other nerve agents, they also used some of the same veterans in drug tests at Edgewood Arsenal using LSD, PCP, etc  in all 254 substances.  Pages 20-23 show the Cold War tests  http://www1.va.gov//vhi/doc s/CBR_www.pdf

This report published in March 2003 shows that 2098 of the men were dead in FY 2000   40%, and of the survivors 54% of them were disabled another 2200 men, for a total death and disability rate of 74.43%. The VA has failed to find these men and claim they can't "find" us until 2009, why? http://www.iom.edu//CMS/379 5/4913/5842.aspx

why when they say "Trust Us" I can't Email Print

I know this is a hot political issue, but bottom line the policy is adversely affecting approximately 10,000 veterans and or their widows from Cold War tests that used Biological Weapons, Chemical Weapons and illicit drugs such as PCP, LSD etc. The story has been told a few times but no one has ever seen the story thru, the veterans and their families are still suffering without veterans benefits, and I feel it is due to political influence.

Here is the theory and the facts. If this were again to become public, it would prove embarrassing to the current administration due to the fact the two main characters at the heart of the problem in 1974 and 1975 are now more powerful than they were in 1974 and 1975. It also would discredit the reason that we went to war with Iraq, because Saddam used chemical weapons on the Kurds.

These two men in 1974 and 1975 while part of the Ford Administration approved of and funded the human experimentation on enlisted army soldiers with Chemical Weapons at Edgewood Arsenal Maryland. This shows they were violating the Nuremberg Codes of 1947.

When a Neocon says "Trust Us" turn over the Rocks Email Print

I am having a hard time digesting the Bush Administrations claims of the article's about the "financial data tracking" is a setback to our "National Security" and the talk of the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times were asked not to run the story due to the risk to National Security, I watched Wayne Simmons (a Fox news contributor) calling them traitors, and the publishers should be jailed, he called them the "Jihad Times" funny they kept forgetting to mention that Cavuto's favorite newspaper ran the same story on the front page of today's Wall Street Journal, is that a "jihad Times" outlet to? Or is it okay for Republican papers to do "responsible" journalism and the only ones that have their patriotism questioned is the perceived left leaning papers?

Cheney Lies about Halliburton, go figure that out. Email Print

We have all heard the White House's many statements of the separation of Vice President Dick Cheney and his contacts with Halliburton were severed when he became the Vice President.

We have been told that all he receives is deferred compensation from monies previously earned. We were told that his office played NO role in the award of the Halliburton contracts in the immediate aftermath of the invasion in 2003.

That he has not benefited financially because of the war.  The following documents and information obtained thru FOIA suits by Judicial Watch have uncovered documents showing the lies, and the links to the VP's office and the Corps of Engineer's thru the Pentagon.  Links after the jump.

Why is History so Quickly Forgotten and then ignored? Email Print

I realize that I do not comprehend how our federal government works, it appears to be a good old boy network that rewards longevity and loyalty.

In the early 70's there use to be an Office of Economic Opportunity, it was a Cabinet Level Position it was occupied by Donald Rumsfeld, he had a bright young man working for him, Dick Cheney.

In August 1974, President Nixon abdicated his Presidency to a Congressman from Michigan, Gerald Ford on August 9th 1974. Donald Rumsfeld was named as Chief Of Staff for President Ford, of course he brought to the West Wing his protege, Dick Cheney.

Rumsfeld's Arrogance Email Print

Watching Mr Rumsfeld on Larry King live, just made my blood boil, after being disabled by actions he approved of as Chief of Staff and as the Secretary of Defense in 1974 and 1975. I admit I do not have much use for him or his right hand man, Dick Cheney, for those of you who are not aware of it, they became a team in the Office of Economic Opportunity in the Nixon Administration and it was a Cabinet level post. Cheney was so good at doing what he did, that when Rumsfeld was named Secretary of Defense in 1975, Cheney became the White House Chief of Staff for President Ford, gaining his own seat on the National Security Council due to the promotion.

The Mother Of All Public Airings Of The Dirty Skivvies Email Print

I read the news today Oh Boy, and then I noticed that a good cross section of the top tier of American society, the movers, the shakers, the big money makers in government, business, and the religion game, the very pillars of our community, were in prison, under investigation or actually indicted, awaiting trial or out on appeal, on the prison bus or trapped underneath two large convicts named Leroy and Bubba and I sat back for a moment and smiled somewhat wistfully.

A bittersweet moment and a brief smile because I immediately recognized that what I was looking at was a surface tremor, an advance ripple before the onset of the exposure of a tidal wave of corruption, of civic rot, of a great molting of the fraudulent upper crust, of theft and graft and mendacity in public affairs that this country hasn't overturned since Tammany Hall.

Rummy & Cheney: A Trip Back in Time Email Print

As many of you know I am a totally disabled Army veteran. Yesterday due to the foresight of a friend of the family's, I was taken on a time trip to May 24 1972, the day before my father died, May 25th 1972, I was 16 at the time, soon to turn 17.

My brother joined the Army a week after our father died and wanted to go to Vietnam.Yes, I think he needed a check up from the neck up, he WANTED to go to Vietnam, he had to be crazy. They had decided to wind the war down by the time he finished basic and AIT, so they sent him to the DMZ of South Korea the last other war zone in 1972.

Why was this important, it took me back to the time of "real" anti-war protests, sit-ins, hippies, and Nixon, Watergate and all that was wrong in America, three decades ago.

The letters included the last legible letter my father ever wrote, to see his handwriting again 34 years later, shook me up for a few minutes, kind of like someone talking to you from their grave. He made me remember what a strong man he was, and the respect I had for him, and the lessons of life he taught me.

Public Citizen's Tyson Slocum on Stephen Colbert's The Colbert Report Email Print

I really enjoy the "phony news shows" on Comedy Central. I've been watching John Stewart for a couple years and when Stephen Colbert spun off with his Colbert report I really appreciated the nightly bitch slap he represented to the "Wing Nut News" broadcasts and the Unfair and Unbalanced Nitwits like O'Reilly and Hannity.

A good deal of what transpires on both Stewart and Colbert's shows is far from phony, and mixed in with the humor and satirical treatments of the day's events are often found pearls of information not seen in the main stream media.

Such was the case last night with the appearance of Public Citizen's Tyson Slocum. In promos from Public Citizen it was mentioned that Slocum had five points that he wanted to make with his appearance about Big Oil. Slocum's five points:

Harris Poll Shows Bush Approval Drop to 29%: White House Seeks to Shore up Support Email Print

CLICK TO ENLARGE In a bad omen, Greedar, the Republican Party mascot bolts and runs from President Bush

Washington, DC (APE) - A recent Harris telephone survey of 1000 Americans has netted President Bush some of the worst approval ratings in the history of presidential polling. Only 29% of Americans polled felt that the president was doing a good job overall. With a potential indictment looming over presidential advisor Karl Rove, and the recent revelation of more extensive domestic spying along with the Department of Justice's abandonment of its investigation into it, the White House is struggling to rally Republicans from sure defeat in the 2006 midterm elections.

My Golly, where to begin?

Let's start with a Secretary of Defense who uses the expression "my golly," or "gee willikers." I did a Yahoo search for this term and Donald Rumsfeld's name was in the first ten results. Jumpin' Jehosephat who is writing this script, Lewis Carroll?

What rabbit hole have we entered, what twisted hall of mirrors are we trapped in and how do we come down from this psychedelic trip that we seem to be on.

My golly, the buzz I'm hearing and reading is that we're going to war. Yes, I know, we already have two wars going, but they are so unfulfilling aren't they, bogged down as we are, three years after we accomplished our mission in Afghanistan and made Kabul nearly safe for the foreign press and killed or captured most of a deck of cards in Iraq and hired Halliburton to build us a house of cards which is falling down around us.

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
The queen of hearts is always your best bet.

Dick Cheney Helped Me Till My Garden Email Print

I had intended to write a piece on Cheney's speech in Vilnius yesterday and wrestled with the idea all afternoon and through the evening, at last too tired, too disinterested in the bastard to finish reading his painfully pompous and threatening remarks much less write about it I gave up.

Finally, I posted the whole sorry thing on my blog under the title "Cheney Lets Mouth Overload Ass, Full Text" and went to bed. To sleep, perchance to wake inspired.
