Can't Cheney Shoot Straight Politically or Having Fun Blasting Away at Birds? Email Print

Rylla Goldberg of Tacoma, Washington, in a letter to the editors of the Seattle Times on February 22, had this to say regarding Dick Cheney:

"He is leader of C & Three R's (Cheney, Karl Rove, Condoleezza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld) a world famous quartet.  They instruct President Bush about what to think and say, what lies to tell and when to tell them."

Could it be that supreme arrogance of the ignorance is the hallmark of this woefully corrupt and inept Republican administration?  Inefficiency on a vast scale is evident, as Bush's political favorites constantly display their inadequacies.

To hear Bush and his cronies rant on about the success in Iraq delivering democracy, you'd almost think there was no Civil War between the Iraq religious factions, bringing almost daily bombings and death to us via TV news.

VOTING RECORDS: Show 'Condi 2008' is a No-Go! Email Print

In the wake of the 2000 and 2004 election seasons, charges of voter suppression by the GOP flew without mitigation. In response, Republican's couldn't scoff loudly enough, "How dare the Democrats make such baseless accusations. We are a party of compassion and high morals. We are the party of inclusion and tolerance. Just ask Condi and Colin...and also ask that gay fellow who heads up the AIDS office." -- or something like that.

As usual, the Republicans' talk is the virtual antithesis of the Republicans' walk.

Enter Condoleezza Rice...

Their latest PR push for 'inclusion and tolerance' is perhaps their boldest yet -- promoting the idea of a Republican, African-American woman as president in 2008 -- knowing full well there is not one chance in Hell that Condoleezza Rice would win the GOP primary, but understanding that the value of such a move would prove incalculable toward clouding the canyon divide that separates the pro-civil rights, and relatively tolerant, diverse political left with the anti-civil rights, intolerant, homogenous political right.

It seems, however, that their strategy might just blow up in their face, but not because Condi will actually win the primary -- or the presidency. Rather, because their activities inadvertently serve someone else who might actually have a shot at the presidency -- someone with whom most Republicans hold considerable fear and loathing.

Enter Hillary Clinton...

"Condosleeza" Rice said recently that the American government "does not permit, tolerate, or condone torture under any circumstances." Oh really? Then why is the Bush Administration treating John McCain's anti-torture legislation like Lynndie England treated  prisoners at Abu Ghraib?

Open Letter to Syria and Iran -- You're F**ked! Email Print

Our beloved Condi Rice recently spoke of peaceto a prestigious gathering of the Saban Forum:

"Now, if Palestinians fight terrorism and lawless violence and advance democratic reforms, and if Israel takes no actions to prejudice a final settlement and works to improve the daily lives of Palestinian people, the possibility of peace is both hopeful and realistic,"

And in an alternate, more truthful reality, she continued...

"But as for you, Syria and Iran...well, you're simply f**ked! And don't act like you didn't see it coming. We've made it clear from the beginning:
