White House is bracing for Impeachment Email Print

It seems that even the White House can't ignore the reality of its own corruption and willful felonious acts.  They are preparing for Impeachment.

Let's hope their plan for defending themselves is as effective as their Iraqi War Plan and their Katrina Aftermath Plan.

Impeachment is in the air... I can Smell it Email Print

Be careful of what you wish for... It may just come true.  Keep this in mind when looking to impeach the monkey boy, King George!

Bush lied again. And now he has to go. Email Print

I'm not one to sieze on another's thunder, so I want to say I first saw the story here.

Bottom line: Bush has lied again. And this lie is as bad as he justifications for going into Iraq (or anything else he's done, for that matter).

Why Wasn't George Bush Impeached a Long Time Ago? Email Print

At last the full picture of the Republican morality charade is becoming evident for every truly patriotic U.S. citizen to see and shudder at over the extent of the hypocrisy involved.

What Bill Clinton did that rallied the "religious" (so-called "right") to feverishly demand impeachment stands out in stark contrast to the terrifying reign of terror conducted by the Bush Administration.

Remember the forever smiling Ken Starr throwing millions of taxpayer dollars down the drain to prosecute Bill Clinton?  Let's face a reality check.  What President Clinton did pales by comparison with that White House resident Bush has been up to during the past sex years of his deceit dominated Administration.

As the staggering national debt skyrockets, the Republican-dominated Congress hasn't had to worry about where their ill-gotten gains are coming from.  They have money gushing in to them in a floodtide of lobbyist cash for big business votes.

What it amounts to technically is bribe artistry engineered by big business to demolish democracy, while at the same time we self-righteously proclaim that we are attempting to bring democracy in Iraq, all disconnected from their oil reserves, they repeatedly insist.

Pick Your Nightmare--How Will Bush Distract Us Now? Email Print

Impeachable Offense!  We keep hearing it and finally the words are being said publicly on Capitol Hill. And not just by Democrats.

This time he has hit the Senate and Congress below the belt. He contemptuously ignored the outlets they gave him (FISA courts). His actions spoke loudly that he no longer considered the Legislative Branch an independent entity. Maybe that will wake even the Republicans up the precarious state of our Republic.

Will impeachment actually happen? Bush and gang have made our previous `Teflon' President (Reagan) look like a man in quicksand in comparison. The lies and diversions and manipulations practiced by this administration have been breathtaking in scope.

1/3rd of America is Ahead of the Curve Email Print

32% of Americans think Bush should be impeached. Considering his complete 180 on why we went to Iraq in the 1st place, I'd say that 32% is ahead of the curve.

War Lies & Impeachment: It's the Liberals, Stupid! Email Print

Well, here we are in suspended animation somewhere between stop and go. Momentum against the Bush regime has slowed. What had been a freefall, crash and burn carnival ride of stomach dropping, gut wrenching political drama has slowed to the point of watching grass grow on molasses in the dead of nuclear winter.

Am I wrong? Perhaps it's because I have not been as dialed-in the last few weeks as I had been the previous few months. So maybe it's me, but my impression is things are temporarily in stasis; the summer and fall's political damage to the Bush regime in the process of being absorbed, analyzed and accounted.

So, in this time of slow-go, glacial progress, let's take account; reckon the politics, predict the future and extol the importance of Liberals (and Republicans) in the pursuit of Justice.

Impeach Bush ? Only If You Are Crazy Email Print

There is a debate raging in the lefty blogosphere lately surrounding the idea of impeachment of Bush. You can view some of these discussions here, here, and here.

All sparked of course by the storm of bad news gushing like a torrent from the White House. Iraq, the economy, healthcare, retirement, plame, torture et al and the polls that represent this collapse.

In the extended let me tell you why its a fools game, and one for left wing extremists to engage in.

Changing the Equation Email Print

(Cross-posted at My Left Wing)

I'm no math wiz, but I think I know enough to calculate the sum of liberal progressivism. With the cynical and selfish center-right noise machine that prides itself on the security of ignorance and the stability of suspended animation, we liberals enjoy a few skirmish victories, an occasional battlefield win, but the dream of winning the war for peace and justice will always be out of our reach.

The reason? It's the equation, stupid. One Step Forward; Two Steps Back. By my, albeit, rudimentary and remedial `rithmetic reckoning: one minus two equals minus one.

To have a chance to change the liberal/progressive equation in fighting the good fight in a heretofore perpetually losing cause, we need to do a few things politically in the near term.

Anti-Bush Campaign Growing Email Print

While U.S. service personnel are fighting and dying in Iraq, just as they did in Vietnam.  Anti-war activists seek to confront White House resident George Bush to ask a simple question, "Why did the United States go to war in Iraq, and why are they still there?"

Of course, that is the burning question that also should be asked in the most appropriate place, in The Hague before a panel of judges who can determine if the Iraqis and U.S. service personnel who died, and the thousands wounded, met their tragic fate because of a fraudulent war.  Did this debacle take place because U.S. intelligence made the tragic mistake of not wanting to share information that might have prevented 9/11, and even the rush to the Iraq War?

These are legitimate questions that must be answered by an unbiased international court in The Hague, where the Geneva Convention war guidelines if followed can prevent corrupt politicians or barbaric madmen from going to war without any legitimate reason.

Remember how Republicans and Democrats were so confident when the bombs began falling over Iraq?  This administration and its robotic Democratic followers triumphantly proclaimed they were out to save the world, spreading democracy first over the Middle East with ceaseless bombings, destruction and death.  The lies spewed out by the one-sided media contributed to this nightmare scenario.
