Once upon a time, there was the Red Scare. It was an ugly ideology, to say the least. The Scare hated the Market and it despised individualism. It opposed reason and introspection. Apostasy or dissent meant shunning or exile.

Fortunately, Freedom was on the march. In an epic contest of ideologies, the Red Scare tried to outdo our Market of Freedom. In the end, the Scare could muster no space lasers, and thus it faded away.

Now we feud with the Red Faith, a fierce foe far more formidable than the former Soviet Empire. The Red Faith, formed of feeble-minded fundamentalist folks, favors feeling and faith over reason and science.

Reading left-wing blogs daily and obsessively, it's hard to find a topic to write my first-ever note without repeating a thousand better-informed, better-articulated articles. Being an emotional person, and being emotionally devastated by the extreme evil  that has hijacked the White House and America, and hence, the rest of us on this planet, I had to ask myself: Why do I feel such righteous, indignant outrage and feel so completely RIGHT and TRUE in my beliefs that close to half the American public are religious, racist, sexist bigotted nutcases that let mass murderers lead them into global death and despair?
